  1. Second hand bikes will sell, no problem. THere are people who always want and can buy the newest bikes, there are people who dont want to pay new prices and go for ''new'' second hand bikes. And there are people who go for old bikes. Even 10 year old bikes sell... The bikes dont lose value anymore once that old, owner buys parts to keep it running, everybody is happpy!
  2. Hi Jim, good writing. I think at the end we mean the same thing. In the radiator cap there is a overflow hose attached, which trows out the coolant which is added too much, or throws out coolant when overheating or when too much pressure builds up.
  3. Exactly like a spotweld yes! Bike is back together, used some extra grease putting it together and runs like a champ.
  4. Doesn t it have an overflow like the older bikes?
  5. And a leaking head gasket could indeed cause too much pressure in the system. Usually you can also spot this by having dirty coolant.
  6. Only way is the way to measure. Not that difficult. But it is more like 200 or 300cc or something.
  7. My question is about the crank itself. Notice the small area, almost looks like the flywheel welded itself to the crank.
  8. Sound like great fun. Maybe next year. Is there some sort of calender for amature riders?
  9. Took an engine appart and noticed some strange stuff on my crank. In the flywheel you can also see it. Is it corrosion and broken with taking appart the flywheel? Furthermore there was some brown corrosion ''spray'' inside the plastic casing and some vapour.
  10. Do not strap them too thight no reason for it, and if I let it overnight or something I undo the straps. Not for the seals, but for the springs.
  11. Once I did 1 bar in the tyre in the garage, and forgot to let it off the first 2 sections I did not know what was happening to me. Around the correct pressure small adaptions will make difference, however less noticable and bad teqnique will rune it anyway.
  12. I turn the rear around once, when the edges are worn. Not too much work and good tyre changing practise lol.
  13. well first of all look for any damage. If the flywheel has some space because of bad bearings for example it could have hit. The stuff can also be residu of water evaporation or something.
  14. Not excesive play on the main bearings? Is your pick up ok?
  15. Bike will first overheat and throw water out. You would be an *** if you than do not stop riding.
  16. When I saw the white version for the first time on my phone I first thaught I was looking at a new beta 4t.
  17. If you hit the bashplate while riding obstacles you often dont hit the front wheel. The obstacle needs to be hit with the front wheel (around 50 to 75% of the height of the obstacle). Like mentioned above a video might give us some insight in how to help you.
  18. Your body weight and deweighting is really important there.
  19. I think from previous comments he had a sort of friendly connection with the rider, and I can understand that if he doesnt participate anymore its less fun
  20. New regulations: the trials riders must shout ''broap'' on photogenetic spots
  21. Its difficult. Open days are possible where people can ride without any commitment. But at the end people have to buy a bike and then they will be looking for a location to ride, if they dont than they are not going to come... But I also guess space is a little bit different there and here. We have like 10 clubs or something in our small yet crouded country. Longest drive is 2 hours. And if you would drive from club to club the max time in between is 45 min or so?
  22. I can ask it for you, the owner is dutch. IMO it must fit. Since there are no inbetween models for as far as I know and the 160'ies and 200 have this smaller type heads with bold high on top.
  23. I guess Jim has got it? You can try him!
  24. Also be creative. Somethimes I make sections which I know I cant ride and attemps really help me with skils. Also it helps you to recover and conserve energy. If you use those skills on easier sections it will deffinatly help. Sometimes you will be amazed by what you can and cant do.
