  1. Back brake tip: get some pressure with the normal methods (or by reverse flushing the circuit, or with vacuum pump). Ride, with the brake on if it does not slip you have air, make sure its hot and put some water on the brake. Or remove the wheel and let the brake hang down (put it on the disk though) than bleed it. The problem is in the angle.
  2. Also I avoid go/no-go points early in the routes. If they get a 5 its better to have them at the end of the route, so they attempt, fail, turnaround and ride out of the zone and go to the observer for their five.
  3. In our country we have a Dutch Championship, regional championship (Although I think there is only one region? ) and club competitions. I organise club and regional events. Our own club regio event is often difficult. So on avarage quit some 3's, also some fives here and there. But people like the challange we can offer in our terrain, and it is a nice contribution to the total championship, and at the end the winners of our event will most likely be the same as the total championship, so it is not bad. We have four classes (ABCD), but this year we added a C+ class (and sometimes we have A+ class for riders that drive internationally), because the C class has the highest number of participants, and has big diversity in riders (old and young, but also in skills). The + route follows the normal routes of C, but has some extra passes with some obstacles or really difficult climbs or drop offs. This way the youth can up their game without having to ride dangerous stuff. And people that dont want to go to the B class have a challange. The scores in the C and C+ class are about the same, aswell as the distribution of points. Lets say 10 riders in each class. 1 or 2 with nearly no points, 5/6 with medium points, and some with high points.
  4. Manual does not give a different number for the crank. However its not totally clear on this. My guess is the 250 to 300 are the same. You need piston, barrel and head (off around the same year --> water cooling system differs). Although I would not really see the point.
  5. Good gloves, and try to keep them dry. You get blisters because sweat or moist takes the natural grease of your skin away, than it rubs. Try some baby powder or use handcream or a little bit of vasaline
  6. However you might make your exhaust hotter, or too hot. THis could give problems to the exhaust valve
  7. I had a leak in the line once on my gg. The shock had hit it I think. Gives problems with air in the system on the long run.
  8. I think his relaxed style and methal hardness makes him able to use less physicall power. This is why he can win from the youngsters. Watch carls dinner and his style. Relaxed, sitting down, using some feet left an right. Others look way more tired and (too) agressive on some parts. His pace is so amazing. http://www.redbull.tv/video/AP-1NFAJFW112111/finals Wonder how extreme enduro guys would do at e.g an ssdt. Surely they are not used to not use their feet (well a lot are trials riders so they would). I quess those extreme enduro's have way better media coverage, and money can be earned with it, and pro teams ride there etc.
  9. Go play soccer, you dont need balls for that...
  10. However Im more affraid of fires caused by the battery packs etc. More and more power comes with potential risks. (there is also risk in gasoline, I know).
  11. A dutch guy won the Antwerp Enduro Cross 2016 event with a 4ride Dunno if this works? https://www.facebook.com/patrick.nelissen.146/videos/603698349805906/
  12. What an increadible rider. Does skill really come with age?
  13. They need to start over in their own way. Imitation the old style (like usa is doing aswel) is not going to work. Biggest part of their succes are not the cars, but the idiotic combination of the three ''monkeys'' (and awesome camera work and scenery, and stupidious sircumstances)
  14. I guess the clutch design is simmilar? /https://www.facebook.com/trsmotosusa/photos/pcb.1345773822116060/1345766105450165/?type=3 So yeah, pull should be adjustible just like on the gasser
  15. I think the website of cambs trial center has/had them.
  16. It should be marchossi's but there were some troubles arround them, mine came with paolli's. If you pull the spring down, you can get a wrench on the bold, which will also lock the spring preventing it going back up again. Then you can undo the cap.
  17. MM ok. Than I cant help you without seeing the bike I quess. Eventually you will need to get it loose if you kill the kickstarter gear or something.
  18. Finally have my spare bike ready (for use or sale). Already put 5 hours on it this week. Runs like a beast With: New piston rings New kickstarter gears New gearbox bearings All seals and gaskets New link bearings New wheel bearings Other bars etc
  19. Problem is solved. Was a combination of gearbox bearings and/or the kickstarter bearing. Still has a little noice or sound in the gearbox. like all gas gas bike (and other btw) have. Just the gears. Some have it more others less, this one quite a lot. But bike has good power, and everything works fine now. Probably even more power than my (good) 2008 which I use for championships. Think will give that one a new piston in the summer.
  20. Often the manual ones go per 0.5 per complete rotation not 1. Maybe something went wrong there?
  21. http://www.cloburntrialsandenduro.com/product/jitsie-dynamik-chestback-protector/ http://trialwebshop.nl/product/hebo-xtr-trial-protector-zwart/
  22. I have something like that, but its too big for trial. At WTC and EC level they are compulsory next season I think. National level will follow (depending on country).
  23. It looks like they might become compulsory/mandatory. Who makes them, which ones are recommended? I have one with one plate for the front (or back), for mountainbiking etc and some for MX and enduro but those are to big and hard for trial. But I think a backplate might be more usefull.
  24. BTW also check the shock bearings while your at it.
