  1. I can find the dates for this event but no other info, (Jun 30 / Jul 1) has anyone any links or info on it?? Hope to have the Bantam usable by then.
  2. Not many kits sold for the TY, it was a better bike out of the crate. More sold for the Honda TL, which is being re produced today.
  3. I remember some gears were made for them, I thought they were converted to mono ?? I sold a TLR recently and regret it now.
  4. Other than tank and seat what were the mods ???
  5. I thought it may be Gregor Fisher.....
  6. pEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING AIR COOLED MONO PRICES WILL GO SILLY SOON FOR YEARS AND THEY JUST stay still???
  7. If it's a 270 it needs to be done right, they are more responsive, if wrong they pink badly and power is all wrong. There is hardly any difference between the 250 and 270 bore sizes, I had them side by side before now. I think a Yam IT piston is used. Google IT / TY bore sizes ??
  8. They think it's safer than money in the bank, not always the case.

  11. saw one recently in a garage with around 100 miles on the clock, I wouldn't go overboard on restoration it's easily done. At the end you will have a bike that no one will want to trial, the polishers will buy it .
  12. Where are the full results ??
  13. Try Steve Goode, he's very helpful... http://www.stevegoodemotorcycles.co.uk/
  14. There was a part converted one (project) at Telford, I think the back end was fitted, it was for sale in the hall.
  15. Did you start with a donor bike before you built the bike? if so "use" that number, or there is a frame on ebay.

  17. As Turbo said above, replace both coils at same time, they are over 30 yrs old now. I had same problem with mine, a pig to start when hot and replaced both coils and fitted an OKO carb, it starts and runs well now. I tried the ht coil first it was a bit better but spot on with both coils.
  18. Yet another for the polishers. Probably hidden away never to see another trial.
  19. There's your mistake in a nut shell.
  20. The engine needs to go over in the frame, they are one sided before you start. Also the swing arm needs widening or scalloping out the one side to allow for a trials tyre.

    Tlr Camshaft

Nothing locates it as such, it sits there and when the cam cover and rockers are bolted down there isn't much play. When I stripped mine in the past I always had the lobes pointing down on compression so as when it is bolted back together it goes together on same stroke and the valves are closed.. When you bolt it together just turn it over on the nut on the crank slowly making sure the timng marks line up when turned over 360 degrees and the valves do not foul the piston.
  22. Fantic 200 as Totalshell says,You should get a well sorted bike for 1k. there are a couple on http://www.willbrown.co.uk/adz/. They are creeping up in price now, 90s water cooled stuff is creeping down, personally I wouldn't mess with water cooled stuff too old.
  23. No, not mine, the frame is one of a short run. I had saved the pic. Obviously the tank is a slave item to run the bike....
  24. There's a r/h brake on this C15 build with a cable....
