    Clutch!

You can grind the push pin down to get a sweet spot just for you. That`s the pin that actually pushes on the m/c piston.
  2. Go read the Montesa forum. I`ll take a Dellorto.
  3. Happens this way on most bikes. I can`t complain as mine lasted ten years.
  4. I believe it has an adjustable cable. You might see if it is actually working. I have seen the starters get wobbly, but never broke.

    2016 St 250

I`d by the Scorpa. The new Sherco looks like an old bike. The Scorpa just is more eye appealing for the same bike.
  6. The factory has nothing to do with your riding preferences. Some like a high Idle so they don`t stall, some like it to just barely keep running. The only bikes that really need to care about idle speed are the one`s with fuel injection.
  7. I cannot stand anti lock brakes on cars or trucks. Very dangerous on the roads I drive. It`s a bad decision forcing them on smaller machines. Even worse if it ever get`s into off road bikes!
  8. If the slave was sticking, you would probably not be able to push it back. But it is easy to take apart and see. You could also have a bent push rod or stuck ball bearing. Anything is possible but you start with basics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh3pm3z7CdY

    Beta Techno 352?

From an article on the net. The Beta Techno has some championship success with a Britiain, Dougie Lampkin who won the number-one spot in the 1997 World Trials Championship on an Italian-made Beta Techno 250 that had been modified specifically for him. The Technos made for Lampkin, was increased to 272 cc, with an output of 30 hp. To suit his riding style, the engine has been shifted forward slightly from the standard placement, putting more weight on the front wheel.

    Beta Techno 352?

The 250 piston was 72.5mm. Beta did not have a bigger piston till early 1998. The early `98`s were all 250`s. They were late having the bigger top end and sent it out `free` to those that had ordered the 280. I was lucky enough to get one.
  11. I`d start with removing the flywheel cover, and spray it with wd 40. Change the plug. Give it another go.
  12. It might be new, but if the piston does not travel the full length of the stoke and return with some free play. Then the pressure cannot release.
  13. Sounds like you have it too tight. The M/C rod or piston has to have some free play.
  14. I found one laying on the loop last weekend. Turned out it belonged to a mom that could not keep up with her 5 year old on an Oset.
  15. Some of the tech just take a 17mm wrench, I`ll have to look tomorrow. Checked again, a wrench will work. You do have your manual. The stock spring is not too bad? 17 stone plus?

  17. We know of five very used 4rt`s. Never a lever problem.
  18. 2nd or third, lots of clutch, weight back, drop your heels, ready set go.
  19. The Techno crank was easy as it still was all steel. I`d leave the crank up to someone with the right spacers since all the crap plastic on the new cranks. Used to be a noob would be lost doing a job like splitting the cases. With video and forums like these the job is much easier. Flywheel, clutch and primary gear is much easier with the top end still in place, unless you have air tools.
  20. It`s all about timing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdwNZdNJtUw&feature=player_embedded
  21. Simple enough to split the cases and do the main bearings. You can then ship the crank for the rod work. There should be no up and down movement on the big end.
  22. Spokes are done in patterns of four. Start with the tube hole. Using zip ties can help hold them on place. Slow and easy.
  23. The only way to get a lot of fuel in the motor is leaving the petcock on or a bad needle and seat. Have you had starting issues? Normally if the seal goes you suck transmission oil into the crank and have excessive smoking.
  24. Could be a 9 with a newer frame as the nine had issues.
