If the seal fits, it fits. Problem may be getting the boot, as they get torn and let crap in .
First I heard the parts off the new ones would interchange, then I heard they were going to produce AJP replacment parts, who knows.
-
I doubt it would be a sheared key on the flywheel as it fixes itself. I would think most likely culprit an ignition coil, next a CDI unit.(providing plug ok)
Call Splatshop to send you some parts to swap, you can return what you do not need. Easy peasy!
Never mind Chewy, he spent six months trying to make a tire too big stay on the rim!
Might also try closing the plug gap down to about .015 just to see if it makes a change, as that would also indicate a weak coil.

The proper spring and detent ball help prevent the lever from swinging out of its locked position on its own. I seem to recall the grub is machined on the end in order to slide properly in its groove.
I recco you get the correct bits from your dealer of someone like splatshop.co.uk so it works as it should. not pricy.
You need proper grease in the pivot, and likely need a dab of blue locktite on the grub, as you must back it out slightly from full in so things rotate freely. They can be a bit of a pain to assemble as the proper spring has a bit of tension.

One thing that you need to understand is the fact that there would be no NATC Nationals without the Support riders! We seem to have classes for those moving up, and those moving down as well within the age groups. And still yet within those age groups, there are indeed a bunch of hardcore riders that will travel halfway across the country or beyond just to compete, and that is great, yet somewhat limiting for even some of the most hardcore as things go both in dollars and sense!
The fact that some local riders could actually participate in the event in both a Clubman and Vintage method not only keeps foks involved but also can set the hook for those that may want to participate in other classes later.
It all adds to the till in entrys and such in an effort for the sponsoring club to actually make one of those events a financially feasonable thing, (God forbid the actual man hours and true costs if one had to pay for it) so there are a few that get to go ride! A win-win in my book!
Pity of it all is as the club is scrambling and searching for qualified observers, do you think Ringo or Kramit would offer up to at least spend a half day in a section? Doubt it, as they are in FO mode!

What he said! The wrong gun and the wrong use on assembly could spell disaster on small parts! They are not a torque wrench, they just hit stuff! And without caution and skill, you are lost!
-
I have yet to comment on the loss of Whitney, yet I miss her.
This may not be my last tribute!
Don't you wanna dance?

What day is it? Time lapse again-----
Oh well, some things are just that, ROCK ON!
If Ham wore a Kilt, this should give him a cool breeze!

If you are not loosing coolant and have been giving a bath, then you need to understand that a hot motor will chill quickly in water, and the vent tube running under the carb inlet and down near the skidplate will suck water in as the air inside the motor cools and contracts.
Need to ck and or change the oil after fiording, and then do it again possibly to insure you get the moisture out, then get some heat into it to vent off any residual.!!!!!!
-
One should not need to alter this adjustment simply due to removing and reinstalling the carb top and slide. Cable is likely out of position on one end.
Allways insure the slide slams shut before starting the bike. It makes an audible noise when it hits home.
If you did install the floats upside down, you may well have bent the level tang on the float arm, putting things out of adjustment. Insure the arm is parallel with the bowl sealing surface with the carb inverted.
Cheers,

Obvious the bike has seen some use, then.
I cannot get my head around the purpose of the one on the damper side, or what holds it in, based on the diag.
-
Most little diagnostic flashers like that will use a 9v battery to power things up. 3 npins, power, ground and the signal wire. No idea what is on them.

I am spoiled my modern trials bikes and it is hard to find something else it seems. I have a Serow, but there is no way I am doing serious trails with it, just too heavy and ill handling in tight rough stuff, although I kinda like the thing for playing around.
I guess an old TY could be ok, although a bit heavier, drum brakes, at least it has some basic trials geometry and parts seem readily available. And something of a seat!
What about a Scorpa SY or 4T with a long ride kit?
I had a Beta Alp 2T with the Techno motor, and it was not terrible. yet was still prolly more than 200lbs wet.
-
I would find a TY, not the reflex, and only if you are into PAIN!
-
I work late shift!
TTC was great, Long time since I had a long weekend. Spend quality time with friends, and meet new ones!
-
I would think the Beta Paiolis virtually the same as well. Funny how no other reports of this. Did you obtain any part numbers?
-
Need to fly more! And ride!
-
I have an old one in somewhat decent rebuildable condition if you want to experiment. PM me.
-
A friend and old time rider here has an old lovely Fantic in the shed. He says it is great to putt around on for about 15 min. the put it back in the shed and hop on the modern bike.
I had a ride on both the new 250 Beta and Sherco at TTC, and all I can say is they are both great and similar in power application it semed. I cannot fathom why an average rider would want more.

-
Carefull with this, as you can easily exceed the torque spec on re- install!
-
Sorry, I mis read your original post where you stated you had installed new plates.
As you did not state if this bike were used or newish, I would still think you are on the right track, May need to smooth the fingers of the outer basket if grooved.
-
-
Argh, seem to be a sort of top out bumper. Makes me wonder just how much of this may go on in the future with the bikes, as the report I got said Paioli wat out of business, and the new company putting the "Tech" forks on the new ones was taking over. I suspect them similar, yet who knows?
-
Not the interview I seen, First search I did took me somewhere else on their website. Cannot seem to find it now on short notice.
In further poking, it seems the "espritos" does indeed refer to "Spirit", so as you first stated "Holy Spirit" it is!
Am I a free thinker?, Well. I think more freely after a couple pints! I think I will need to pee soon, however! I believe in wormholes and time warps, because the same thing keeps happening, over and over!
-
Howthe feck should I know? I took the quote off their website so it must be true! Everything on the interweb is true! What do you think I am, a Latin or Greek linguist? Ima friggin mechanic, you nerd! Doing a web search, the actual words together do not seem to fit, thus is up to intrepretation I suppose, yet still in the context of a higher calling from the people to God in the given context of the song I would think.
All in context, I would think Espritos would refer to an "Express" or calling out, as in a prayer. Not sure.
Good song!
