tlm 250 as they had the single disc on front. i used to have a tlm 240 a fantasic bike used it every weekend for several years never touched engine.now got tlm 200.put a new plug in 5 years ago never touched since gets used for pratice and half a dozen trials a year.why cant modern bikes be made like this?

back firing is nearly allways ingnition related

clue in the tapping noise.sounds like tappets.there should be no play in camshft,poss due to not change oil regular.

theres no such thing as leak proof seals.most likely problem is the top bush if not very good fit seals will leak.or chrome pitted on stancion.

go to vosa web site you will find testers manual. this is testers bible.

any normal trials tyre is ok,but tube must be used.

tap the centre bush to one side.i dont know your model but make sure there is no circlips on some bikes.heat is your best friend taking old ones out and putting new ones in,warm hub with blow lamp

try bleeding the master cylinder first loosen the banjo bolt,sqeeze lever whilst in tighten bolt,repeat few times.

blimey what a load of problems on the vivaro based vans plus they have probs on gearboxes.im been looking for a van last 2 years for working every day im a motorcycle mobile mechanic so not a big van but enough to carry bikes,and i only do 300 miles a week so dont need modern van just reliable and cheap im trying to find good early traffic as low down at back for easy loading. i hate motors that go rusty. just for a tempory motor i bought a 806 the older 1905 turbo car its like a van by taking seats out and very nice to drive,they dont rust,40 mpg on run,but needs trailer for bigger bikes. buts its done 250 thousand miles it dont use any oil or water i would happily drive around the world without looking under bonnet.i only paid

they should have used the oringinal venue.i had a look there few years ago the sections are still to be seen paint on barrels worn of a bit now and see saw.

if anyone says adjust float they are mad.so simply strip carb where the float needle closes fuel off a bit of dirt needs cleaning out you may not see anything its so small.

it should have a overflow pipe on carb.make sure it goes to open air

i agree with this bloke.do you use a trailer to take bike about.i do and if forget to turn of fuel carb floods. i doubt if problem with mixture or plug,as it runs ok after starting.

bleed by loosening and tightening master cylinder banjo bolt first,this will then make sure master is pressureising.then do bottom as normal.

Dont bother its not needed.just adds more rubbish weight to bike.
