cant comment on the marzocchis but ive got to agree with you on the piaollis forks fitted to betas.they are useless .i cant notice a bit of difference between no rebound and full rebound.even a 10 year old dated set of showas are head and shoulders better than brand new piaollis

the 2 faces of the taper will not be identical to each other .it doesnt take much .before fitting the woodruff key put a little valve grinding paste on the shaft,fit the flywheel and turn it back and forward until you get a nice light grey colour cn both faces then reassemble and it will be fine.it is not the woodruff key that keeps the flywheel from turning on the shaft it is the shaft itself the key is just a locator

get an aerosol of plastic primer and give it a coat of that first then your top coat and it will be fine

try a spot of petrol down the bore if it fires up you will know its fuel related .if it fires up let it run for a while then give it a good roasting along the road it gives it a clean out and gets it up to temp
