  1. Wish I had Eurosport ...Oh!,..and I dont care who commentates....just wish I could see it!
  2. HIya... I would really like an Instruction Manual for the 2003 model Beta Rev3 270 If anyone can help me...please let me know..or pm me. THanks
  3. Last summer, when i watched a WTC round...I had a REALLY good look at the Beta (Kenichi Kuroyama)...and from the outside I couldnt see any difference at all. BUT I suppose there might be lots of different internal engine parts??
  4. Good idea Subira...I'll look forward to seeing that list....sorry I dont have an SY250 to help you
  5. Obviously..that last photo was from the inside of the swingarm...here's one from the outside. Sorry for the slightly blurry pictures.
  6. OK..here it is!!..the fix to my swingarm problem. My mate put a kind of insert in the whole, with a large back on it..(on the inside of the swingarm) and then the same type..(but longer) hex bolt, to go into the insert. HOPEFULLY the picture/s speak for themselves. Yippee!..I'm on the road again!!..or should it be off the road?
  7. Yeah...thanks Dabster/craftypiggy The Scorpa, Gas Gas, AND Sherco..ALL have a better/similar system. THe Beta one really IS pants. SHame really...ah well,...in the future I will try to get something fabricated like the others..for now, my mate is still gonna re-do the current system. Pictures of his fix soon!
  8. DABSTER...thanks for that..great idea..and NEXT time I will certainly think about trying to do something different. AMiller...the only reason I mentioned welding is, to firstly cover up the large hole the bolt has made...THEN my mate will do as you said and put an insert in....thanks for that.,,I think that is certainly the quickest/cheapest fix for me now. almason........the 05 is amazing in my opinion..(not that my opinion is worth much)...I'm sure you'll love it Thanks again everyone...its great to get so much help/ideas. WIll post a pic of the final result as soon as I can
  9. Yeah...come on...post a pic if you can...sounds like ANdy deserves come credit..and it would be nice to have a nosey at yer bike
  10. Philswiv...going back to what you said about the postion of the snail adjusters. John Lampkins guide to prepping a Rev3 for the SSDT suggests getting the rear bolt on your rear calliper support countersunk. This enables you to put the snail adjuster pointing upwards. In standard form, you cannot always put your snail adjuster pointing up the way because that bolt for the brake calliper gets in the way. Its a shame...after 5 years of Rev3 that Beta cannot sort that out..and sort out the problem I'm currently having. NOT moaning...just surprised they havent done it..'cause otherwise the Rev3 is excellent in MY opinion.
  11. Hi Dabster..can't picture what you mean..although I'm sure its a good idea. Will try to have a look at the Sherco tommorow, and/or if you could post a pic it would be great. Have already sent my swingarm to a guy to fix though, so too late for now maybe..but it would be nice to fully understand your idea for the future/next time it happens!!!! Oh! and heres a picture of the damage I've been rabbiting on about..and I'll also post a pic of the damage AFTER its been fixed...hopefully in a couple of days time
  12. Thanks guys for all your help!..I'm gonna get the swingarm off today..and post some pictures to you all of the damage. Then..hopefully I;ll get a guy here to sort it, who is an excellent welder etc. so I'm sure I'll be OK. Will also try and post some pics of the problem when its fixed, for everyones interest! (wish me luck)..even getting the swingarm off will be an adventure for me!
  13. Heres another slant on the topic. Having already said that I would rather add bits myself, than have the factory do it, I dont to be honest tend to add anything anyway. Agree with you mostly Marky Boy..but there are some people who maybe think, that they just like they way their bikes look standard anyway. I guess it depends on if we are talking about changing the way a bike looks..or the way it performs??......personally I think my Beta is the best looking bike on the planet standard!! ...so I dont really wanna see it change. But I DO keep adding lots of scratches and dents to it

    Swingarm

Hi all.. just ripped them little bolts out on my swingarm today...the ones that stop the snail chain adjuster thingy. I'll try to post a pic, to show you what I mean..although I always have trouble posting a pic. ANyway...the reason I'm telling you all this..is I could see one of the bolts was knackered..or more so the thread was knackered ages ago..but I should have done something about it then, 'cause now its REALLY knackered..kind of ripped itself a nice little sideways hole in the swingarm..so will have to be welded? re-drilled? and re-threaded now. SO KEEP an eye on that bit REV riders. PS> If I CAN post a pic it will be BEFORE the damage...will try to take a pic of the damage and post soon.

  18. My mate in Hereford UK, insures about 3 or 4 road bikes with Carol Nash on a multibike policy, and I think he only pays about 280 Subira...but I guess one of them is an R6 You'd think it would be a bit cheaper for two trials bikes wouldnt you?!

    Montesa 4rt

lol...I like it coflet SO is that the really the standard one, or a new improved light weight one??
  20. yellow stands out and grey looks classsy...but I reckon PINK would be the one to go for Heath!
  21. Personally I'd much rather add bits myself afterwards....after all...its a good excuse to get out the house and tinker with the bike in the evening. Imagine having to stay in and watch the box with the missus every night!!!
  22. Is that different to a 315 one Andy? I've got a 315 one, but its a LITTLE bent, and a LITTLE crack in the top bit, but could be welded easily. To be honest you'll probably find better elsewhere...but Id be happy to send it you if you pay the postage and a pint maybe?! Oh..and I dont think it has a spring either!!,,,DOh!..not much help really was I!!!!!!
  23. If you dont need the money....keep 'em...'cause the next owner would sure appreciate the bits. BUT..if you do need the money, sell them on e-bay. SOme people are getting stupid money for their old bits on e-bay. Post us some pictures when your done. Its great to see those old TLRs all tarted up
  24. Sorry to hear that TooFastTim, I lost a very good mate here in Hong Kong also in a road accident. I know its really hard....like City Trials said though..try to focus on all that fun you had together...
  25. thats a definate marky g!!! will be spending some time in Herefordshire and some in Northamptonshire to begin with..but will DEFINATELY be wanting to get started as soon as possible. Buying a bike the day I get back hopefully!!! SHould be back about October time..so I'll be in touch then!
