  1. Well Naomi Campbell was busy, so just for you Motosinge...........here's the lovely Lisa Jones sporting some retro gear. Regards Martin
  2. Check out the float needle on the carb. Dellorto's used one with a rubber tip, these perrish and dont seal up properly.....causing it to flood.
  3. Here we go then Motosinge.... a few bits of memorabilia for ya. Genuine GVS SWM riding shirt(aquired from H M Lampkin no less), Aprilia shirt donated by is former owner Tommi Ahvala.........and a Fantic pack a mack, given free with bike to stop you getting wet when pushing it home. Poster included for added style. Martin
  4. Yep, they look OK to me......well not OK as such, looks like a Fantic tried to sneek out of Italy disguised as a piece of Milan produced class.....eh Motosinge Martin
  5. Think you would be right if it was pre 1978 when SWM and Fantic started. Most of the SWM's that are around are 1980/81 models. Fantics had the 125 and 200 around in 1981. Would still prefer any of these over a Bult/Mont/Ossa with the exception of a 340. Cheers Martin
  6. Agree with everything said so far. But
  7. SWM only made a handful of prototype monos using the 350 Jumbo motor. There's a nice photo of one of my website. After SWM went bust, Mauro Sironi (son of the founder of SWM) started up his own firm SVM, they produced a mono trials bike using a Tau motor. You see a few of these around in Italy, and after I have managed to buy one for my collection.....I will be happy to find one for you Johnny SVM even went as far as building a prototype watercooled trials bike....anyone got a photo of one of these? Regards Martin www.motoswm.com
  8. How do you know he has one of those then Legs?????????????

    Swm Riders

Thought it was you Johnny! The twinshock scene over here caters for a very wide range of abilities. There are club events that are aimed at Twinshock and Pre65 bikes only, these are very well supported and usually easy for anyone to ride. Most modern clubs will run a class for twinshocks, where they run over the clubman route. We also have a full British Championship, that tends to be for expert level riders over sections that would take marks from good riders on modern bikes. The main difference though between UK and US, is that I can ride my SWM in an event, every weekend of the year, and the maximum I would have to travel would be around 40 miles from where I live. The closest venue I can see from my house! Martin

    Swm Riders

Still quite a few being used over here in the UK, very popular over in France too. Could even have seen Heath out on an SWM, but now we will have to surgically remove him from the new Beta before that happens t-shock 250, check out the new rear mudguards on my web page, if you fancy replacing the fibreglass special. Martin PS. jbswm..........living in Maryland by any chance ?
  13. Ben Have you tried talking to Roger Painter (secretary of the Wilts & Dorset Trials Club)....I dont have his number to hand but they usually have a trial listed in the back of T&MX News. Roger has ridden Beamishes for years and often does shows and autojumbles selling Beamish bits, if anyone has a tank....he will. Cheers Martin
  14. There's a pair of Telesco hydrobags on ebay at the moment Click here Cheers Martin PS. Know for a new/good used clutch plate for a Cota 25A ?
  15. Think HondaRS has fabricated that sump shield out of alloy........its definitely a 240 frame. I have his number if you want to check with him direct, send me a p.m. if you want it. Cheers Martin
  16. For your tank cover try :- Damon Cockroft Motorcycle Seatworks 366
  17. Running on Adrenalin at 50:1 in that photo after stalling in the previous section............. Should'a Won Martin !!!!
  18. I just need the one Jumbo myself..............Somerton trial yesterday Martin
  19. What was the Kawasaki 4 stroke that Roy "Pushrod" Palmer used for the Sebac Twinshock championship back in the mid 90's ? Was it a Gollner or a home made effort? Martin
  20. Hey Lane, where can you buy "Hootspa"? I would like to get hold of some, maybe if I could use enough, I could ride as good as Dougie ! Remember what Bernie did back in the 80's......came and stayed in England for a season, so he could get to all the European rounds and ride every weekend with World class riders. Maybe Geoff or any of the young US guys would benefit from that sort of experience. It doesn't cost mega bucks, it would be easy to find someone to stay with over here and Bernie did the World Rounds in the smallest van Fiat produced !!!! Martin

    Saunders On A Beta

What's Saunders pointing at? Has his throttle stuck?.....or is he ordering you off his land? You sure you were invited Heath Martin Bet he didn't let you have a ride on his Beta
  22. Just thought I would put you straight on a few points on English trials, the following applies to 80% of the club/regional events here in the UK. Most events are enter on the day, all sections have 2 or 3 routes to cover all classes, mass starts are the norm....odd number riders starting from section 1, evens from another half way round. Hardly any trials here in the UK on the road anymore, certainly no before event posters, never any majorettes...........but always a trip to the pub afterwards Martin
  23. Is you tank stained on the inside? If so its probably right the way through, and nothing can be done. I not try this. I have just cleaned up a plastic tank that was faded/stained. Tried Jif, Kitchen cleaner, soaking it in a hot bucket of detergent, T-cut...everything and it didn't make any difference. Then had a go with some fine grade wire wool, gently took the top layer of crud and stains off, and polished out with T-cut. Martin
  24. One things for certain......its 50% more expensive to buy it in Spain than Germany !!!
