Might seem a bit obvious - but take a look at the Majesty pics in the "Twinshocks prices" topic and lay em down at the same level as these.

Dont know if it was any good or not never got to ride one !
Had a test ride booked up at Chris Horsfield Motorcycles in Evesham, arrived with a wadge of cash ready to buy one.....and was told that it didnt have any oil and they were too busy to stick some in. Having travelled about 100 miles to test/buy a KT250, we were understandably cheesed off, so called into Westbury Motorcycles in Bristol on the way home and bought a new Montesa UKR 250 instead !
Probably the luckiest escape ever

Its a 350 Armstrong Jumbo twinshock which has been converted to mono.
Its a steel frame, it has the case reed 350 TL motor the same as the SWM Jumbo, but the odd bit is the shock position. Take a look at the photo that Ask Greeves posted and you see the shock is angled, this one is vertical....hence the homemade middlebox and silencer and the cut away seat/tank unit.
Think there is a photo of John Lampkin on an Armstrong Jumbo in John Hulmes Twinshock book....but as R2W has borrowed my copy and not returned it, I cant say for certain

Midland Clasic Club are holding there next event in March details here
There is a 2 day classic enduro held in France about 70km from Le Havre in September that was advertised in TMX. Quite a few Brits went over and reprts back were that it was a very good event....think Alan Wright won it.
Seems as though there should be a much bigger following for this branch of enduros here in the UK, the following for them in France, Italy, Germany and Belgium is massive.

It seems that the Fantic Enduros have always made stronger money than the motocrossers....regardless of condition. The one on ebay is a Brissoni replica, which is the one to have. Maybe with a huge amount of luck and a lot of money it could end up back in one piece....or buy this one and save a load of hassle here

Dabster....have you been on the ale???....when did John Shirt ever import 300 Fantics ????
wilsyfm403, take a look in the Pre65 forum at the "GOV 132" topic, there is a DVLA web address that you can trace registration numbers, but I dont think you can trace one by the frame number alone.

I think the wheels on your bike are original. The earlier model, like Greeves, is restoring had an equal sided hub and valanced (flange type) rim. This was then changed for the lighter conical hub with an non valanced rim......yet still retained the valanced rim on the rear, which seemed a bit odd.
The very first twinshock I decided to restore, about 15 years ago, was a Model 91 250, exactly the same as yours. It had the same wheel set up, which after a lot of checking, was definitely how it arrived from the factory.
Hope this helps.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the replys....you have come up with an interesting piece of info Mick.
The story of this Bultaco started around 1987, when my brother and I bought a batch of 4 Bultacos from a vintage dealer who had cleared out a shop. We had a 1974 325 complete, a 4 speed complete, a 67 250 5 speed (San Antonio)...and this early 4 speed in bits. We paid

786 GON (OR 788 GON) is not on the dvla computer(at least not on an ariel) which is odd as i would have expected a bike of historical interest to have had it reinstated even if it had been lost at some time.GOV 130,131 AND 132 are all on, with dates of original registration for GOV 131 and GOV 132 correctly shown as 1947. For some reason the date of original registration for GOV 130 is shown as 1954.
How do you trace a registration number via the DVLA computer ???
Trying to make some investigations relating to Millers first Bultaco, 669NHO, can anyone remember if there were any other 4 speeds that Sammy was using at the time??
My brother has a very early 4 speed Bultaco that has recently been checked out by Joan Figols as "possibly" a factory prototype.
Any help gratefully received.
Cheers
