Hi jon v8. Plenty of power, and its only a slight blueness to the exhaust gas, so never bothered to do anything about it. Would agree if there were clouds of smoke following me about.

Thanks OTF,houseape1000, Stork955 & bigwig. OTF - its about a plug a trial so would like to find a solution. houseape1000 - tried all sorts of plugs, crossreferenced, not much difference. Stork955 - plug is dry and blackish, carb (Amal) is new and has all the jets, slide cut away, needle etc as recommended by Surrey Cycles. Plug is NGK BPR5ES or Bosch W8DC which is recommended. Bike runs well and foam air filter is oiled with Partner air filter oil, I have tried less oil in the air filter but it makes the running worse. What do you think of bigwigs recommendation of a BP4ES ? bigwig - have tried a 5 & 6 and as you say has made no difference. Thought you risked you piston by using to cold a plug, so never went that way. Is this a long term solution? Thanks Ross
  3. Dear Deirdre I am a sailor in the merchant navy. My parents live in South London and one of my sisters, who lives in Brixton, is married to a guy from Newcastle. My Father and Mother have recently been arrested for growing and selling marijuana and are currently dependent on my two sisters, who are prostitutes. I have two brothers, one who is currently serving a non-parole life sentence in Wormwood Scrubs for the rape & murder of a teenage boy in 1994, the other currently being held in Wandsworth on remand on charges of incest with his three children. I have recently become engaged to marry a former Thai prostitute who indeed is still a part time "working girl" in a brothel, however, her time there is limited as she has recently been infected with an STD. We intend to marry as soon as possible and are currently looking into the possibility of opening our own brothel with my fiancee utilising her knowledge of the industry working as the manager. I am hoping my two sisters would be interested in joining our team. Although I would prefer them not to prostitute themselves, it would at least get them off the streets and hopefully the heroin. My problem is this: I love my fiancee and look forward to bringing her into the family and of course I want to be totally honest with her. Should I tell her about my brother-in-law being a Geordie ?

My B40 has a bit of an appetite for plugs, tried different makes with little discernable difference. Also use different carbs, Amal for those where you have to, and Kehin the rest of the time. Burns a bit of oil so plug gets black anyway and difficult to get a proper picture. Runs a ticks over fine (particularly with Kehin) then develops a slight misfire before plug gives up completely. New plug and away she goes. Have heard this isn't unique to my bike. Any ideas ? Thanks Ross

Think this has been posted before, but has anybody noticed the rider at 4.49 looks to be using the clutch. Thought this was illegal or something back then !
  9. About 20 years ago Honda refused to have cars and bikes under one roof, the Edinburgh dealer Chatham's had to get ride of the bikes by moving them to a new premises about 2 miles away. Changed times. Older but wiser ?

I have a Camelback Mule, and wouldn't describe it as big, only adequate, and I rarely have room for more than 2L of fluid. I got some plastic practice golf balls to help the drying process.
  17. Why not list the actual numbers and see if anybody can help ?

Looks the way a TL250 should have looked. Any idea how much it weighs ? How trial friendly is the gearing ? Ross

  21. But, once thay are modified to compete against current bikes, they will be much better than an unmodified machine. And it all starts again.
  22. Can't agree with you there, presumably that's the conversation that was the starting point for the current 250cc Cubs. These modified bikes very rarely "compete against modern bikes at a modern trial" All that happens is that sections are made harder to take marks off these freak bikes, at the expense of less modified / more genuine machines.

I had a shot on an identical bike to mine, the only differance being lower footrests. Definatly gave a more planted/less top heavy feel.
