    The knock on effect of modifying/re-engineering bikes is the severity of sections has to be racked up to take marks. To the extent that genuine twin shocks / pre-65 are at a disadvantage. Defeats the purpose in my estimation.

    With the engine off, when you open the throttle and let it go can you hear it hitting the stop ? If not investigate as above.

    I had to replace all the spokes (in one direction ) on my Bultaco on the sprocket side. Reason I was give for galvanised over stainless was gal' has a bit of "give" quote George Spence.

    Thanks nigelog, that explains it. Dont think I will make this mod a s I prefer TQF in primary (it usually comes out pretty clean) Also have damaged that casing in the past, and lost some oil and had water ingress ! Ross

    Maybe a silly question, but how does the oil return ? To much oil in the primary case causes the clutch to slip when kicking over IME.
