			Hi all.
In the process of "trying" to remove the barrel for a re-bore.
The four long studs that go right through to the crank case are solid.
Haven't been touched for decades.
I have been regularly spraying them with wd40 & duck oil but so far no movement.
A friend has suggested a hot air gun, which I haven't bought yet, is this the best way ?
Any other suggestions ?
Thanks
Ross

			You haven't seen the price of a competitive 2"pre 65" then !

All the pre 65's & twin shocks being recycled must also be making a dent in new sales.

			Don't apologize, very sensible question.
No point in being wise after the event.

Have a look at SWM forum for parts manual kindly supplied by MartinM page 17 shows an O ring part 46 on the shaft.

			Got to agree, great event.
Weather was good, sections were challenging (for me) without being silly.
Each day was quite different, full marks to the team.
Rapidly becoming a mini pre-65 scottish !
Great ride by Stuart Rockett. (dropping 2?)

More work for secretary on the day, and more importantly, commits weather conscious riders to turn up on a bad day.
Just about to post mine off Davie.

			Hi Moleman
I have done it before but it was such a bogger that I was hoping for a easier way.
Think I'll try sticking them in the freezer and heating the swinging arm.
Thanks for your reply

Thanks moleman, getting the old ones out is easier than getting the new ones in.
Any suggestions ?

Are there any topics about the easiest way to change Silent Block bushes, or any advice.
Where's the best place to get them as well.
Thanks in advance
