  4. 315 is one of the more reliable moder bikes. Try and find one that has had a "mature" owner. Nigel Birkett is in your neck of the woods.

    I dont claim to be an expert but my WD B40 (without tempting fate & touching wood) has been pretty reliable without this. So if its giving problems fitting it I wouldnt bother. Anybody else got experience of this ?

    A few years ago I snapped my clutch cable at the pre 65 scottish, rode the whole day with out it, found that you really dont need it apart from queuing.

    Hi jbswm The motor is turning over ok, I was told it had been seized, but I think what has happened it the flywheel has come virtually off and has hit the cover, stopping it turning. (I hope) Getting the barrel off is the problem a the studs are corroded. Thanks Ross
