  1. "Avalanche alley" Bad news first: I have never got to the top of there.....ever, despite having ridden it dozens of times! Good news: This is the the year............all i need is to get up once with a three, and i'll be happy. See you all there.
  2. This has happened before, regarding same colour numbers on different courses. The Kendal classic nostalgia trial for one has been plagued by this for the last couple of years, for example riders on the hard route were fiving the hill climb (very steep) and then riding up the easier route to get their cards punched by the observer at the top, who would give them a clean as he had just seen them clean the easy route. There was no way of telling which rider was supposed to be on which course.

Recommend you send a PM rather than post your phone no. over the internet.
  4. I'm sure Lee Harris will be along shortly to tell you all you need to know!
  5. Internet forums are great, everyone blame the Mikuni carb, even on a bike fitted with a dellorto!
  6. That ebay bike is a '92 or '93 model.
  7. Not much legroom in the L200 for tall people if i remember correctly.
  8. But the tyre can still sit squarely on the rim, or not as the case may be.
  9. Have sent you a PM and posted a couple of replies on this thread, but all of which have vanished! whats happening moderators?
  10. The 1995 engine had issues with the main bearings turning in the cases, this was due to the cases being heated by the coolant. The 1996 engine had the water jacket blanked off in this area. Lots of bikes were repaired under warranty at the time with exchange crankcases so unlikely to affect your machine by now. Otherwise a good bike! just make sure the sump guard bolts are always tight, riding with them loose will crack the frame.
  11. Not often you see an endo going UP a steep hill!
  12. No, they are both the same size; 18" However, the tubeless tyre really has a slightly smaller inside diameter because of the sealing edge which the tubed tyre doesn't have. Therefore you can have problems getting a tubeless tyre to sit properly on a tubed rim as it's a tighter fit, in effect. Grinding the lip down on the tubeless tyre did work, but is a messy & awkward job.
  13. You can eliminate yourself from the enquiry then. Keep your ears & eyes open and hopefully you get the bikes back from the b@$t@rd$ Good luck.
  14. I remember overcoming this problem many years ago by grinding the lip (the sealing edge bit) off the tyre with an angle grinder! Seems a bit harsh, but worked a treat!
  15. Hmmm, just a point, who was doing work on the garage?

Totally agree with Baldilocks, the TY 250 mono was the bike i was going to buy until i rode one and found it TOTALLY NUMB! Don't get me wrong, great build quality & very very capable, but no fun at all with a dull engine & not very adept at the new trick riding style which was just coming in. Maybe i should have bought one in hindsight but it just didn't seem to want to enjoy itself.
  17. Are you getting a tubeless excell rim?
  18. THE ADDICT: I would seriously think about moving your bikes somewhere else for a while, judging by what i keep reading on enduro forums the scum ALWAYS come back for another go.

It's at the "thinking about doing something with it" stage.
  20. rcgods, downloaded the software as you advised, still no pictures! This is why i hate my computer, it's just a b@$t@rd.
  21. I e-mailed him to politely advise him that his forks were back to front, but he assures me that this is how they are supposed to be fitted!
  22. Would you buy a bike from someone who runs his forks like this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/gas-gas-trials-bike_...1QQcmdZViewItem
  23. Yeah done that, still no pictures! Bl**dy computers!

Stand to be corrected here, but i believe there weren't any "officially" imported to this country, however, there is at least one and a half that i know of, which may or may not be making an appearance soon.
