  1. What age/type of bike are you talking about?
  2. Seems obvious now, but practice what you CAN'T do, rather what you like doing.
  3. Are you for real twinshocked?
  4. As above, a hefty lump, with poor build quality.
  5. MRS sport were the importers at that time, they should be your first port of call.
  6. Post a pic of the bike & i'll tell you the year.
  7. There is a link to Aprilia though, as the design staff went there after the demise of SWM. The rotax powered aprilia twinshocks are very similar.
  8. Anyone seen any results from last weeks lakes grass track trial at Crook near Kendal? Nothing on the website.
  9. The JTX didn't appear until 1997, but i'm not sure about engine compatibility. Certainly some engine parts would be useful.
  10. Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't this a 1998 model TX with some badly applied "2002" stickers being passed off as a 2002 model? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...:PIC&ih=002
  11. I found that using semi-synthetic oil gave a slightly smoother clutch than full synthetic. However the best bet is to fit a different clutch as Bo said, from a CR80, or an RTL or i think from a CG125 too.
  12. Nice report malc. Decent crash in the stream too.
  13. At least two people went round clean i think.
  14. Another great nostalgia trial, weather stayed fine amazingly, there was some pretty serious queing though despite starting the entry at different sections. But all in all a good day out. Well done to sparky for going round clean (the swine), and a free bottle of ale at the finish.
  15. Those forks look short travel, have you modified them?
  16. I've had no confirmation "officially" Sparky, yes i am riding the "proper bike" the yellow one. I'm hoping for a decent ride after my surprising sammy miller 2nd place although i fear it may be back to normal service after a week of rain takes its toll on the venue and the slip-sliding begins.
  17. People have such short memories, when the early gas gas liquid cooled models came out the build quality was absolute crap...fact! I for one won't be passing an opinion on the xispa until it's properly out there in the real world, good luck to 'em i say. At least they have the balls to give it a shot.
  18. Always check the tightness of the sump guard bolts, these were prone to coming loose resulting in a cracked frame if left unchecked.
  19. Last of the USD fork models was '93, build quality wasn't great on these bikes, so a fair chance of finding a few more problems as you look more closely. At
  20. Word is that some of the old route won't be used due to set-aside, this may include the famous hill climb & wood sections.
  21. Indeed, a superb event in a beautiful part of the country, definately be doing it again next time. Shame about the weather though............too hot!
