  1. The head spacer can help a bit or the flywheel wieght or thicker base gaskets. Ian
  2. Never won anything on a Trials Bike But have won many class awards in a Rally car So we can say good drivers are not good Trials riders?????
  3. Yes some of the crud comes up from the inlet side, I have made a larger rubber flap to complement the original (plus lots of duct tape!!) , this stops the stuff that is splashing up from the front. I have also stuck a 6mm high flap in the airbox inlet so water running down from the rubber flap doesnt run straight into the air box. A bit of sponge in the bottom og the box helps a bit as well.
  4. I find the standard black rubbery stuff performs well, No leaks, flows well but I still struggle with 4 foot rock steps though!
  5. I fix things that (Atom Ant designs?) for the Pharmacuetical Industry

    06 Fork Oil

See what I mean now! look at this bulletin from Trialspartsusa.com Marzocchi 2006 If you ever empty all of the oil out you must remove the cartridge, take the end cap and piston out and refil to above the small hole with the damper rod fully extended (it needs to be upside down for this) then refit the piston spring and end cap. you will also spray some oil around the workshop as well!!!

    Gas Gas Clutch

A smaller master cylinder will make the clutch lighter but you will need to pull the lever further for the cluch to disengage. And to complicate matters I think the 02 side casing had a diferent size slave cylinder!! The answer is to leave as standard and make sure the cluch pack is the correct thickness as when it gets worn the bevel spring sits at a steeper angle making the clutch harder to operate. GasGas UK sell steel plates of diferent thicknesses to sort it out.
  8. Yes I have I did enduros about 10 years ago, harder work , less sociable, always have to enter in advance, but good fun and I did win some medals. I have never won anything at trials!!!
  9. Its most likely down to the rear shock, the Ohlins on the Raga is probably set up with less rebound damping. Stoppies are easier on my 06 compared to my 04. I dont think it has much to do with the front brake or forks.
  10. What may have put off some of the less able clubmen (arnt I being politically correct) at the Crackpot was that 90% of the sections were 5's or 3's which can get a bit disheartening. But lets not forget its better than navigating around a sea of flags only to miss one!!! Any comments from riders who normally do the hard route? was it too easy?

  24. Does the noise get noticabley less when the clutch is pulled in? As these bikes normally have rattley clutch fingers
  25. GasGas UK do a 1mm thick spacer you fitbetween the head and barrel to reduce the compression abit The main idea is to soften the initial power just off tickover.
