  1. My Clice pants dont have knee pads in.......
  2. I cut about 20mm off each end of mine as I am below average (in most things!!!). Its something I have always done, when I ride other peoples bikes they feel a bit wide!!

    Gas Gas / Marzocchi

It would be good if Shirty could answer this!!!! The funny thing is we all want Marzocchis but the Sachs may be better!!!
  4. In North Yorkshire we have long sections with big rocks and steps with observers who give out 5s if you look like you may stop in the next few miles!!! Its just how it should be

    Multi Bike?

Hmmm, multi bike...multi rider seems more interesting!!! I wonder if they mark the riders with this special paint? One bike six mates, a day each and a party every night but one
  6. The bike looks good in the pics, but i have found they normally look worse in real life! I would say this is a better starter bike than the Montesa as they are more controllable. As for what to look for its just knocks and scrapes generally but check for exhaust repairs on the middle box near the swinging arm and engine noise. If it looks good its probably worth the buy it now price and I personally dont like Scorpas!!.
  7. Thanks for all the replies, I am over 40!!! and I think my tennis elbow is the result of an injury rather than bad posture. I have been doing some building work where I may have strained it or likely it could have been dragging the GasGas over rocks!! Ian
  8. Ive had a pain in my elbow for about a month and via the wonders of the Web I have diagnosed it as Tennis Elbow It seems worse after Ive been out on the bike so it may be Trials related! I was wondering if anyone else has suffered from this condition and what can be done about it? It looks like rest may be the answer. I will be visiting my GP of course!!! Thanks Ian
  9. I make my own which are designed to clamp the end of the grip between the plug and the bars. Makes my grips last much loner and I fall off regularly!!
  10. I went from GasGas to Scorpa and did not like it at all! The Scorpa I had was a 2002 model and I just found it hard work especially over the moors. Happy to be back on GasGas now, I ride hard easy or clubman type sections as well. But good marks for reliability but gassers are good to work on! But you really need to have a good long test ride to make your own mind up . Ian

    New Wrx Sti

I have Trialed quite a bit so am I a good rider!!!!.........................3/4 of the entry are better!!!!
  12. I use a normal trailer with sides on, it has other uses that are useful to me and if you have tie down failure your bikes cant fall out!!!! Its been professionally made and has brakes!!! that actually work!! It also has larger 14in wheels and tows fine at any speed (100)!! And as its pulled by Scooby power you can easily pass those Sunday drivers on the way home!!
  13. I think there was a problem with the gasket in the tap moving on 04 models giving reduced fuel flow, you could try and seach the GasGas forum.

    2008 2t With Keihin Carb

I think its to stop some of us setting it incorrectly....maybe some already have! Its nice to see the Importer posting good information for us all.
  15. Its on Eurosport 2 as well with our No 1 comentator Jack Burnicle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  16. If it aint broke, don't mend it.
  17. Get a spare one free with Gas Gas!!! But I can't break mine !! it just bends...and I do try hard
  18. My thoughts on the Scorpa are a bit different, as I have posted before, but way back in time.......... I found the bike hard work over the moors with back suspendsion that was either too harsh or too bouncy....I believe there must have been a problem with my shock as many people on here rave about the back shock. The clutch was far too sharp and was always stuck from cold Gear ratios next, to big of a gap to 5th! had to ring its neck before looking for 5th which again meant riding over th moors was hard work! Those ally foot pegs are like chocholate and easily snap off, I think the are different on the new bikes though! Then theres that big lump of an engine that needs clutch cases welding up when it fightts rocks, we cant afford new casings as the cost loads!! Mine also vibrated quite a bit and was often referred to as a Tractor!! To sum it up I would quite like to try a Beta but I'm afraid it might be a bit Scorpa ish.......... thers nothing worse than riding a bike you dont like and every 5 becomes the bikes fault. Oh and the carb I took it off once at a Trial and its will be the least of your worries At the end of the day the bike just didnt suit me!
  19. Kids are spoilt nowadays! When I learned to ride not only the clutch was impossible to pull in the ground was too far away! So we fell off everytime we stopped!!! i think it was some sort of Viliers engined road bike though!!
  20. At last!! I see many young lads with tyres that look over inflated and have often wondered if they should be let right down!!!
  21. I like watching good young riders hop around the rock then when they are perfectly lined up for the step let the clutch out hit the step ad collect 5 marks!! Then I feel really good as I drag my bike round like a mad spider for only 3 marks ( another 3 marks!!!)
  22. my favourite this year was the Gerald Sipmson followed by the Wainwright, probably cos there was about 6 of us doing them and that means.........more falls to laugh at and someone always misses a flag!!!!!!!!
  23. I had an 02 SY250 and................. Reliability was very good only 1 carb problem in a year Engine always felt a bit agricultural.............a fair bit of vibration and big and numb Clutch was always a bit on and off but you could easily ride it using the motors smootness at low revs Gear ratios across the moors were painfull with that big jump to 5th The rear suspension was OK in sections but eihter too harsh or too bouncy over the moors.... I now suspect my shock was not quite right as others seem happy with thier bikes! Ive never had a Beta but after a year on a Scorpa I am hesitant about changing from GasGas again! I like working on bikes!!!
  24. And as recomended on the Trials parts USA link use Dexron III ATF its nice and cheap so you can change it regularly
