Looking through Ebay in the Trials area and see this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Triumph-196...=item439d3bdeaa Is this really a Trials Bike or just somebody trying to sell something? I sure can't picture trying to get that "lump of lead" around any Trials Section that I've ridden. I'm not knocking Triumphs, just can't see riding a section on something that big and heavy. Alan

I have a Tiger Cub with a pair of 32mm MP600 forks. I was told when I bought the bike that the forks were 'new'. I assuemed 'new old stock' but they could well have been new ones from Greeves who have owned the rights to Metal Profile for about 12 years now and are remanufacturing an updated version. When going over uneven ground at speed or lifting the front wheel, I get a resounding 'clunk' as the forks reach the fill extent of their travel. In other forks I have stripped, there is a short spring at the top of the valve tube to stop this, I think in the MP600's I have there is just a rubber 'bump stop' from the feel of it. I drained the forks and there was 100cc of…

During a conversation at a trial last weekend I was told that 5 speed boxes are now being made for Bantams ? So had a look around on the intraweb and only found a few references to road racing. So who is doing them,or is it the GPO trying to get their telegrams delivered quicker.

  5. Hi Guys I am getting my hands on DOT frame. thinking of Greeve new engine might be good for it. Are they eligible for Pre-65 with older frame. price looks reasonable. if build engine professionally it cost similar or more http://www.greevesmotorcyclesltd.com/engine.html Any ideas ? Thanks & Regards

Ok, the Otter/C15 is almost complete to the point where I can start riding it. One thing I need to do is replace the cheap NJB shocks that I've been using as 'place holders' for something a little better - I'm thinking a pair of Betors or similar. Does anyone have anything suitable knocking about? or can anybody offer any suggestions/advice as to where I can get something reasonably competative for a sensible price? Cheers UB

  11. Hello, I wish to convert my standard Cub swinging arm, so that it is suitable for a 4.00 rear trials tyre. I have been told that I need to lenghten the arm by one inch, and widen it by one inch. I need to know how and where to cut, and how to weld it all back up. Has anyone got pictures, etc, of the details ? Thanks in advance.

Just about to fit an aftermarket set of footpegs and plates (sammy miller) but i have to squeeze a chain tensioner in there somewhere! Can anyone give me a few tips on how best to complete this task and even a few photo's etc. regards To all .

  13. Which way is the little oil pump cover/ sump plate supposed to be installed on a 1960 C15? The documentation from BSA does not say but a couple of their diagrams suggest that the deep part goes toward the front. However, I have a rebuild article that shows it installed toward the rear.

Here's the problem, I have a what appears to be a feked off part-widened and lengthen swing arm and a 4x18 tyre on my rear wheel, to get the chain to run straight and clear the shock (already spaced slightly out) by a millimetre, the tyre has to be moved on to the left giving very limited clearance on that side and the wheel does not sit centrally in the swingarm. This does not seem right to me but I have nothing to compare it against. To me it seems that the swingarm is not wide enough, and maybe the sub frame is to narrow causing the shock interference. Has anyone else experienced these issue, am I just missing something?

The Rupert Ratio book mentions a steel/ bronze combination sleeve gear bush for the C15. It says it is a later model option but the distributor and side points parts books do not show such a thing. Where could I purchase? I'm in the US if that makes a difference.
