The FIM Website lists the riders for the 2008 season with a couple of interesting points. Dougie is noted as riding for the Beta factory, no real surprises there, but Shaun Morris is down for Scorpa. Have I missed something, but there has been no official announcement for either rider. However the fact that it appears on the FIM website would surely indicate that this is not rumour.

Not enough incentive for young riders to consider contesting world rounds?. No factory rider contracts. No factory teams. No works bikes. Factories reach an agreement with FIM on fixed flat rate price a world round point is worth. The championship is a true production model championship with personal tuneing permitted. Flat rate fee is given for every world round point earned, the best will earn the most as now, but the incentive to ride for $$ is there for the lower ranked rider. Am I the only one who misses the quali live stream w/ DL12? Just like anything we can check the scores, but that isn't how the drama unfolds in real time. If we are going to have it, show it. It is bad enough that they take a full day, sometimes 2 days, of 3+ classes and butcher it down to 26 min; all while the Japanese national events are putting out multiple 20+min videos every event.

I have often wondered for a few years why the TDN team have to wear green helmets? Surely this is the Irish colour? The Spanish, Japs etc have nice helmets incorporating their national flag colours etc. The MX Des nations team had mega union Jack paint jobs on there helmets, do the ACU provide these? If so why does trials have to make do with a lick of green emulsion? Maybe it is in reference to British Racing Green, but that is cars, not bikes. Any thoughts?????

In the past TC have managed to arrange a secure camping ground in the main camp site at Hawkstone. These have proved to be good fun and a way to get to meet people you normally only type at. Andy's even managed a marquee in the past where shelter can be sought and videos shown on a big screen. I dont know if Andy has made any plans for 2010 but if not I thought it was about time we started planning and getting those interested involved. There are some Fort William based TC users so I guess the first thing is to see if anyone can come up with a quarter acre or so of glass field close to the town centre or maybe out at Nevis Range. I don't pay too much attention to the detail of WTC rules so it may not be a change after all but, if it is indeed the case as per the announcement on the front page, then I wonder how the requirement for Trial 2 that effectively bars Montesa from the class went down at HQ in Barcelona. Or will they unveil the occasionally rumoured two stroke?

Has toni bou won more times than adam raga??? I think the self proclamed King of trials has been short lived .. What are the facts?????
