Can someone clarify how to install the front sprocket retention hardware for a TL250?. There is a flat washer with cut outs to slide on the spline. There is a second washer with similar cutouts which also has some horizontal protrusions that will mate with the first washer. However, I don't see how these two washers can mate once on the spline. Then there is an e ring that fits but is not a tight fit in the groove on the spline.

Hi my tlr 125 is a bit sick after having a big bore about three years ago. To be exact it has bent the con rod and has shattered the bottom of the cylinder sending lumps into the gearbox so is now ******. I am looking to completely replace the engine and as my bike is virtually a tlr 200 I am looking for a tlr engine or rs 200 or tlr 250 or pretty much any motor that will fit ( I even tried a mates cb 250rs engine in there but was an inch to long) if any help can be given please do as I am pretty desperate to get back out riding again.

Hi Honda experts, Has anyone tried either of the titanium header pipes I have seen listed on the internet. I have seen S3 have developed one for the 200, and there is one on ebay by Delkevic. Just wondering a few things: 1) how much is the weight saving (probably about 400g?) 2) Does it alter the power characteristics? (the S3 one is 28mm, not sure what the original one is?). 3) will the S3 one, which is listed as for the 200, fit a TLR250? (not sure if they are the same pipe?) I've never heard of Delkevic before, are they any good? It seems remarkably cheap at GBP 99.00 which makes me a bit suspicious. The S3 one is probably double that price, although I haven't se…

Hi all honda experts, I have a TLM 200 which i have just done a full engine rebuild on, main bearings main seals ect. It runs (somtimes)on a keihin pe26 and will currently not tick over for more than a few seconds and any aplication of throttle just kills the motor, the carb is all clean with fresh fuel at 50:1 the spark plug is a new ngk and has a visible spark. The confusing bit is it will start easily a few times and then cut out but after about the 5 or 6th go it will then not start again for the rest of the day This is rather disapointing after its been totally re-built at some cost and lots of time, i just want to use the thing now, any suggestions anybody.........…

Wondering how much air you folks add to the TLR200 forks? I have 3 pounds in each and that seems to be about right. Just a bit of sag. Maybe .75 inches or so. Mick Andrews says this is what he likes to see in his bikes. Very supple front with a bit of sag. Comments... suggestions?

Hi All, Anyone have any ideas or know where I can get a heat shield for the muffler on my 87 RTL. Gets very hot and tired of burning my pants. I have seen some in the pictures of Saunder's and Lejeune's works bikes?

Does any one know anything about this TLR200 OKO carb kit? Claims to offer many fixes over the OEM Honda carb. Not sure l am allowed to post the link to it but easy to find on Google for both the US and UK distributors. No more throttle lag, instant acceleration, leanness is removed... The holy grail they claim.

I want to road register my Tlr200. I believe it is a grey import. I will write to Roy Bacon for the cert but was wondering as I do not have any original documents or import papers would I be liable for anything else.(import duty/ vat)? Trouble is I don't know any history or how long the bike has been here. I don't want a Q plate either.Has anyone here done the same thing?? Thanks in advance.

I don't see many trials riders, in general, using chest (roost) protection unless this is hidden under their shirts. I, for one, plan to always wear one. I have the hard plastic type. Has saved me many times from getting hurt from falling on my dirt bike. What do others feel is best for them?

Hi, I am sure my tlr 200 is spose to have some sort of spacer on the front sproket shaft. As the chain has worn away a bit of the engine casing where it has been rubbing against it. The sproket i have on it at the moment is approx 6mm wide and there is about a 4-5mm gap of movement before it touches the circlip. Its not the shaft as this has a little play but not much. Even if it is not spose to have a spacer, does it have a wider sproket? i have attached a pic of the engine and sproket. Could someone please either see if there bike has a spacer or see if there sprocket is wider than 6mm I would be gratful if someone would do this for me. Many Thanks James

One says 21 mm to limit the off idle cough, next authority says go 24mm to stop the off idle cough. On the two hundred cc series of motors based on the xr200 motor (including the TLR 200 Reflex) do we increase or decrease the size of the carb? Mid AtlanticTrails offers a bigger 24mm OKO Kit Jim Ellis, (CVOTC) said he went smaller, 21mm on his TLR's for club level, twin shock riding. My stock Kehlin 22mm 660c needs replacing or rebuilding. I'd like a smoother throttle response, more controllable power in the lower - mid rpm ranges, for club riding I'd like to know which way to go before I let he $$$$ flow for new parts. Thanks, Tim
