Don't know if this has already been mentioned. There has been moves by the Peak District National Park to prohibit vehicular access and all traffic on the area known as Washgate nr Hollinsclough in the Peak District. This area is used by the following trials, Bemrose. Reliance Cup. Dave Rowland. Northern Experts trials. The National park will allow the use of the Washgate area to continue for only these four events on a year by year basis unless they feel that too much damage both physically and environmentally is being done to the area. If you feel that the sport as a whole is losing too much land to these environmentalists, you have until 25th November to Object in …

After another great Trial last weekend - superbly organised last Saturday.... with even more official parking areas with toilets & catering @ popular sections Sensitive areas (with Dales National Park) were cordoned off and they had gone beyond the call of duty Hats off to Richmond MCC However I did notice the arrogance, insensitivity and disregard for what the organisers were trying to do by many 'so called spectators and/or enthusiasts' People were walking under tapes and into/across cordoned off & signed off areas People deliberately climbing over dry stone walls when there was an open gate 30 foot further along People on 'pit bikes' riding across ope…

Hi all, I've been practising/playing on a trials bike for a short time and I'm looking to progress, so I'm looking at joining a club but wondering which clubs are local to me and also if joining that club restricts a member to trial only with that club? I'm a little lost with it all. I'm a member at Bumpy which is very close to me and where I practice, but not sure if this is a club. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Many riders may have come across Peter in the past 15 years or so in and around the northern area. He was a great lover of the Scottish, The Scott and The Cleveland amongst many other great trials. He was often seen on the road crossings around the course offering drinks, food and plenty of advice. His larger than life character always had time for anyone and everyone, His booming voice and positive outlook will sadly be missed. He helped many riders out in recent years, giving back to the sport which gave him so much pleasure. If Andy or anyone has any pics of him to add, that would be great, as many people would have seen him not knowing who he was.

I believe the CBT, moped power restrictions, restricting under 19s to 125s and the complex and expensive motorcycle drivers licensing system is putting quite a few off taking up motorcycling and trials. Much of this legislation was because Tony Blair signed the UK up to harmonising UK & EU driving licences before knowing what this would result in. When this legislation was introduced into the UK under the coalition government they saw no safety benefit in it but implemented it as agreed by previous government. If sufficient people write to their MPs and the ACU & MAG apply enough pressure there might just be a chance that changes beneficial to motorcycling could …

Well over two years on.. And I've still not got a penny back from Mark Kemp. There are many more like me losing over £2300 pounds. Yes I feel sorry for the staff but Mark Kemp - no. He begged for a larger deposit from people. He took my bike as part ex. We trusted him. He told us face to face how he'd look after us as he took our hard earned money. Some people lost two bikes to his lies. And Harrisons are earning from it as well as Mark still living in his house. I'm sure you will argue how great he still is but I, like many others have been royally screwed. At least take a card payment as a deposit if you know your about to go under rather than lie to people. And to ring…
