Hi All, Well, I've finally assembled the awesome group of returning riders (me) amd newbies (skov and Nick the Chin) that is the.... ....Drum roll please... ...Last of the summer wine trials collective. We will compete either on trials bikes or in an old bath, makes no difference to us! Anyways, we really ought to ride the bikes at least once before unleashing ourselves on an actual trial. Evening all, a mate of mine is looking for some of them cowhide pattern gaerne trials boots. Apparantly they are no longer in production and Rathmels only have a couple of pairs left and they are the wrong size. Now do any of you dealers have or know anyone who may have a pair in size 9 or 43 in european ?? Or maybe one of you lot has a pair that you would sell?? Any info of help much appreciated !! Mark

Just read my e-mails, my local trials club tells me that the EU are seriously proposing that full face helmets must be worn for next season 2011, I mean wtf a full face helmet is restricting to vision and listening to revs of your motor apart from looking stupid, of all the years of being involved with trials riding wearing an open faced helmet why change it, I have only ever seen one bad accident in that time and that was the poor guys legs, what next ? should we be wearing a space type suit for 2012, what do you guys think.

Earlier this year Andy mentioned that he'd like TrialsCentral to put in one of the teams for this years Scott. Having spoke to him he's willing to do all the organising etc etc. All we need now is a team of riders, who's up for it?

Looking at IOM government website the Manx GP has been given the OK, has anyone got any news on the 2 day?

Firstly i have no connection with back cowm whatsoever apart from turning up paying my tenner and riding my bike.... I went at the weekend and spoke to one of the chaps who runs it. I am aware that there is an inquest ongoing and do not wish to comment about it and suggest we all avoid that particular point for the time being. However the guys who run the place are evidenty quite depressed about the current situation and do not know what the future holds for them. at the recent school boy champs i rode i got told by club sec of dunfermiline john davies i was unable to claim championship pionts as i did not ride the designated a route in actual fact i did ride the a route but 1 particular section was dangeorus and i spoke to the observer and he said i could miss it out for the 5 and carry on but john davies said i did not ride the a route and so got no championship pionts i find this unfair as i am a novice b rider who has been at the sport for about 6 months and gave the a route a go and found it hard as i usually ride the b route at my local club and thought id done well giving the a route a go and finishing it but i go…

My mate has just got a Sherco 290 but when he tried to put it on his existing bike insurance with Carole Nash, they couldn't do it as they said the bike is not on their system. Anyone out there with a Sherco insured through CN?. Did you have similar problems?. When I insured my Scorpa 125 with them the same thing happened but they got round by rating it as a Honda MTX125. After a long long struggle through the local bureaucracy and other seemingly endless hoops the Milton Buzzard MCC has fianally got the ground promised to them. This facility is purpose built and would be leased long term for the use of trials riders exclusively. Centrally located it is hoped that the planting and grassing will allow riding in a few months time. take a look! Just shows lower part of site.

This may be a grey area but if you ride an electric mountain bike in the wilds of Scotland, what is stopping you riding an electric trials bike...in the wilds of Scotland ?

New to Trials central so if I've plonked this in the wrong place please excuse me. Just thought those of you looking for a trip away that might mean taking the rest of the family along, and still getting some great trials fun in too. Would like to know more about this place. My missus can't stand bikes, might be something to do with looking at me lying in a road surrounded by paramedics four years ago while 6 months pregnant. (before you all start, I was going very slowly when I hit the diesel slick, and even slower when I came into contact with the roundabout and the bike was OK anyway). While i agree that (all) B championship events should be run to the same rules as the World championship, there is one small problem. If you let riders stop in the sections, you need a time limit. This in turn needs one or two people to do this, now bearing in mind how hard it is to get observers in this country, how would we get time keepers for every section? At the British GP there was about 5 to a section, now if we could manage that at every B championship trial great, but in reality you won't . Untill the ACU or someone gets off it's ass and employs someone to promote trials in the media and the public eye, we will never get the mass interest in our sport that it …

Doncaster, what a great place .. Seriously ... Does anyone know of any decent practice areas within say 20 mile radius, where I can take myself and two sons, 9 and 12, Trials riding without getting hassled by either chavs on nicked Honda 90's, 'crossers or the police ? There are a couple fo really good motocross tracks near us, Armthorpe and Austerfield, but they don't like Trials bikes .. We'd travel further for really good places .. We have a couple of areas that are accessible and relatively free of hassle, but not really totally legal, slurry pits etc between the Pilkingtons Glassworks and Thorpe Marsh power station for instance, and not really safe or offering …

If you want to get a trials bike registered, DO NOT go anywhere near the Wimbledon DVLA office, as they are the most awkward bunch of people you could meet, when it comes to registering a used trials bike. The reason I wanted to get it insured was to keep my no claims going, and because I didn't want to use protect-a-bike insurance from TMX, as you then have to buy all sorts of approved locks, anchors etc. Plus I was up against time, as Carole Nash (along with all the other insurance companies I tried, will only insure on a chasis number for 30 days. On speaking to the club secretary he told me they have just lost part of their land under the ruse of SSSI ( site of special scientific interest ) , land that has had cow sheet spread over it by the same farmer for 40years . Think the clubs been on there since 1927 under one name or another and walkers have been going there for donkeys years , you get the picture don't you . hi guys i have started putting a few clips from yesterdays trail on you tube there under THE SCOTT, in autos. there is quite a few but the quality is not the best!! they were taken on my stills camera. i have tried to get as many riders as possible, at washfold. sorry if you not on any but its hard getting every rider !! i have also got some from bypass which i will upload soon fantastic day out as ever !!!!

Now that trials seem to be moving back towards non stop perhaps it is time to reviw the 125cc restriction. Many lads are adult size by the time thy are 14 and could hapily ride a 250, they are after all permitted to ride motocrossers with much more power, height ad weight than a 250 cc trials bike. 125s do not suit no stop riding and tend to be more expensive and more worn than 250s. Anyone any thoughts? Cheers
