What a fantastic result for Alexz Wigg. A rider from the south midland centre where there is not a natural rock for 100 miles taking the Scottish. I know the results have still got to be officially confirmed. It also makes my claim to fame of beating him once in a trial sound even better (I don't mention the fact that i was 22 and he was about 8 when I tell this story). anybody from the Silsden/Skipton area going up to the Scottish on Fri 28th April, I need a lift, will share petrol cost. I don't trust riding up with our lad Sunday morning and I need to get mi bike dialed in sat if I can.

Was thinking of a trip to Scotland to watch the Six day this year, is it allowed for spectators to take there bikes to go and watch some of the remote sections or is this not allowed. If this is allowed were are the best places to go and watch, please advise Thanks

hi all, me and a mate are travelling down from caithness on the bikes to watch this years ssdt, thing is we can not stay for all off it! so when is the best day to come down between the 4Th and the 12Th? is the start better than the end?? any help would be great, OH and can you camp near there or will i have too book the campsite?? cheers mikey

What dates will the 2010 SSDT be held? Which Hotel would be best to stay at if Parc Ferme stays at the West End Car Park and I would not want a car?

We've had an astonishing amount of last minute cancellations for this year's SSDT, mostly due to injury (you're a careless lot!!), which means that over the past fortnight every rider who contacted us to stay on the late reserve list has got an entry. That's great, but we've had a further four withdrawals today! If you were on the reserve list, and still fancy a shot at the trial at this late stage, get in touch with me and we'll get a place sorted for you - they'll be allocated on a first come, first served basis and you'll need to contact me by email if you're keen - I'm on the road now, so telephone and fax aren't options! Just a brief note to say that following lots of hard work the SSDT committee can confirm that they have resolved the re-fueling issues for the 2009 event. Some details have yet to be firmed up but the good news is that the event will be on and the club will be in a position to provide a re-fueling service. As far as costs are concerned we are working to keep these to a minimum but there will undoubtedly be some increase to cover essentials such as provision of vehicles and equipment. We will be working on this over the next month and hope to have finalised things by mid October. Watch this space. Mark

Hope someone can help with this. I was visiting a customer the other day and saw a photo showing someone holding the SSDT trophy. Asked the question and found that it was the chap's father, George C. Wheeler. He won the event sometime in the 1930s but the son doesn't know exactly when, how many times or on what machine. Any help (or additional information) gratefully received. Nick

Anyone 'in the know' tell us when they are due please? The website says second week of Jan (last week). I heard a rumour we would be emailed yesterday (14/01) but not seen anything!

A mate of mine from germany has been accepted with his sister to ride. She has a FIM licence cos she rides EM rounds. Her brother has DMSB B Licence (Deutsche Motor Sport Bund B- Licence). He can ride "Europen Open and National, all disciplins" rounds here in europe on that. Is his Licence OK ?From theb SSDT.org site it says.... "!The only licences valid for the SSDT are an ACU Registration Card, an SACU/MCUI Licence or a full FIM International Licence" What is an SACU/MCUI Licence??? Help needed quickly please

Looking at the front page of Trials Central it looks more like Trials Rental this week. With all the UK importers offering new machines for rent for this years SSDT. I have bought bikes for the event, and rented bikes, and I must add, renting is the way to go, you get an new machine ready to go at the start of the week, full backup through the week, and you can walk away from her at the end of the week without wondering if she is pregnant or not. and go for a

Friday from a spectators point of view is, in my opinion, the best day of the SSDT. It's a "must-do" in my book. The majority of sections are pretty close to the road and you get the awesome drive round Moidart where the views are absolutely stunning. Meandering round this year, I stopped off and took some shots I've stitched together to give some idea of what it's like out there. It doesn't really do it justice, but if you've never been, take a look at this panorama. (1.3MB so dial-up users beware).

Hey All I have the opportunity to visit Fort William during the SSDT this year. Sadly I can only do one day but I have a choice between, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Which is the best day to spectate? And where to go and at what times? The official website has given me some very good info but a few more opinions would not hurt the situation. Ideally I want to see some interesting sections and see some of the bigger names but most of all have a great day. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
