A lad was telling me the other day that a 19" front tube will still stretch to fit the front but works better than a 21" on the rear if you need it. Anyone know if it works or not ? would make sense to carry one of them round if it does.

However having already won the SSDT five times previously, Dougie Lampkin (Gas Gas) remains a strong threat to spoiling the Spanish party as he dropped just a single dab today to stay very much in contention for top honours come the end of the week. Looking through the entry list for the SSDT the breakdown of bikes entered is as follows:- Beta 83; Gas Gas 52; Montesa 41; Sherco 31; Vertigo 27; TRS 22; Scorpa 21; Honda 3 and TBA 1. I don't know how this compares with previous years, but a healthy range of manufacturers represented. Isn't it funny the things you do when 'on hold' to British Gas?;

An article that I've read says that a New Zealander rode in the Scottish in 1969. I'd like to find out who he was. Would anyone have the results for that year so I can try to identify him? Thanks Peter Christchurch, N.Z.

Where's Alexz Wigg ? He is on the original entry list but looks like a different rider taken his number. As a previous winner he had to be up there with a good chance.
