I have seen one floating around in one of the parade pictures on todotrial.com..... is there one riding? Hows it doing?

There are rumours that world championship rider Albert Cabestany is putting in an entry for the SSDT 2010.

I've been asked to share these photographs taken by Robert Little at the SSDT during the 1970s Photobucket Clicky Link For some reason, photobucket has stripped the spaces out of the file names. Not hard to work out who's who though.

The trialscentral.com DVD is now complete and I'll start taking orders next weeks. Again it's being offered un-copy protected for a small fee which only covers our very basic production costs. To make the order process easier for us to keep track of (we don't have a full time business here) ordering we be done via a buy now offer on ebay with payment via paypal. Again two camera men spent the week on bikes filming and getting very wet. The format will be much the same as previous years but due to the poor weather this year there is no helmet cam footage. I know it's early days but after 2 clean rides can Dougie equal or beat Gordon Jacksons record lowest score of one mark lost? What odds would you get!

I was wondering if anyone had any hints or tips for getting a rear tire back on the rim when out on a Scottish moor? I had always thought that should I be unfortunate enough to have the rear come off the rim I would take out the valve and fit the spare front tube in the rear. I thought I would then be able to inflate it with a pump and a CO2 cartridge to get it out onto the rim before letting it down to a more useful pressure to continue riding the sections before getting back to Fort William

At the request of a fella asking what are my thought's on riding the SSDT, and what have I learned from the event. Well it's a bit like work really, tha gets up eats thi breakfast then off you go, Monday is a bit like starting a new job, mad keen to get on with it and rush first few groups of the day, don't know why ? all trotting up the first two subs at Leanachan in the fancy new riding togs, well most, I'm the old bugger in wellies and ex army waterproof britches, past looking good for the sake of it, and the girls lost interest a long time ago. Never cleaned both subs yet, always manage to have one or two to keep the observers pencil active, then it's ower to Bradil…

Looking at last years in the program and still trying to sus em at the mo, but a good topic to talk about. [story, TC front page] The routes for the 2007 SSDT are coming together nicely, with some changes planned from the last few years, but the great news is that it looks fairly certain that Lagnaha will be back. Lagnaha is a series of great spectator sections - although many riders cringe at the thought of a fistfull of fives, they all secretly relish the challenge of beating those classic sections under the watchful eyes of hundreds of spectators! I am considering my first SSDT in 2013 (although more likely to be 2014). Just wondering how 'legal' myself and my bike need to be, I know I'll have to take my bike test however I'm not sure what insurance etc would be required. Also, how much would I expect the week to cost including entry etc?

Hi all I will be visting the SSDT for the first time this year,due to the nature of the event the SSDT cannot help me with the following due to the route being kept a secret,which i totally understand. I want to make sure i witness the riders go up the pipeline section,can anybody help me with the location and if they ride it more than once,if so whay days?Which of all the sections is a must see?i accept all,but as it is my first time i would like to see the toughest sections. I ask this as i would like to book my hotal soon as can onlu go for 2 days. Thank you in advance David
