hi there. I have above bike and its really good, that might/does sound daft but after never considering a spanish steed 6 months ago i now have two! I also have an 02 250 pro. i bought that having ridden a 125. love it. Now the EC is superb. ive ridden a lot of bikes xr, cr, drz, ccm and ktm. i gotta say this bike has really put a smile on my face. it looks great. and the engine is so smooth, you wanna tootle about, it'll do it, you wanna open it up and it just motors along.( tails off earlier than true mx bike but bottom to mid makes up for it) suspension is first class too. Just on the off chance that anyone has any experience with EC200 (2005) suspension set up. A friend of mine is having trouble with his 200, he is being thrown out of the seat on double (or more) bumps as the suspenson isn't reacting fast enough, he is only 10 stone and despite having the suspension set soft, he feel s that it is still too hard however the front forks now bottom out. As he races in Enduro's, there are some jumps but not big ones as in MX, but jumps aren't really the problem, its mulitple bumps where the bike should be staying near the ground with the power on, he is being bounced all over the place. Im just doing a refurbishment of a gas gas ec 250 2005,and found that the lower shock mount is cracked near the shock station so un repairable, I can't find a suitable spare, so does anyone know of and other manufacturers shocks that fit this bike cheers. The shock is 430mm eye to eye.

hello, About two weeks ago i purchased a GasGas ec 250 1999 as a first Enduro bike. having come from trials and to a bike with a seat feels very wierd :) the bike has had a new piston (in the words of the seller). the bikes does start but its very temperamental and can take up to 50-60 kicks to start I've had it running twice and now it doesn't at all. I pulled the carb apart and cleaned it hoping it would help and nothings changed. I've fitted new ignition coil and bits here and there (electrical) as it had no existing electrics apart from the cdi unit and there is now a spark. when I kick over the bike I cant tell whether it sounds normal or not having heard 2 stroke tr…

Hi there. I have a Gas Gas EC250. Great bike. The front brake is really spongy. changed pistons, seals fluid bled em down an bled em back and they still aint doing it for me. Oh and ive changed the wheel bearings just in case the wheel was deflecting. Disc is true too. The bike still stops really well but there is no feel at the lever. My next step is a master cylinder kit but does anybody have any experience with this problem?

Anyone had any experience of these for racing hare and hound events??

I have to admit I'm an armchair fan of hard enduro but I can't really take in that Getzen Rodeo. It looks like it's set in a park and appears to be a 3 mile long trials section. There must be all of about 500yards where the bikes get out of bottom gear. The spectator value is awesome and has great crowds But tell me anyone that's been there wouldn't it be miles easier on a trials bike not that it would be any fun to watch.

Theres a huge enduro on this weekend in my neck of the woods down in deepest France. Thought I would pop over and have a look at the 600 odd riders, just wondered if any one knew of any Brits entered that I should look out for... Seems the cream of France and Belgium plus some older Favorites will be there so if anybody knows please add a reply. Thanks very much

Firstly my postings on Enduro are even less popular than when I post about football....you would have thought with Doug Lampkin making waves in this disciplie that this forum would have become a little more popular? Anyway, this weekends Hell Gate Extreme Enduro has an all star line up including the aforementined Doug but also Jarvis, Sagar, Taddy, Chris Birch, Gerhard Forster. With David Knight opting out of competing in this years Hells Gate event to focus on his GNCC preparations it was left to our lads Jarvis, Bolton, Sagar, Evans and Wrayford to put pressure on the young Polish rider. Jarvis almost caused an upset and was applying the pressure on Taddy and at one point in the race was under a minute behind Taddy, but tiredness and leg pain from an earlier accident kicked in towards the end and Taddy pulled away from Jarvis during the fourth and final lap to take the victory. Hello folks, I Fancy having ago at enduro on my trials bike and have a few questions, I was wondering if anyone knows of any events coming up in/near lincolnshire? Do they have a class for trials bikes? Will I be able to ride with my acu trials registration or will I need to get another liscence? Also any tips on modding the bike? I think I will put a 14t front sprocket on it. but will I need anything else? Any info is welcome Cheers Spike
