  2. Hi Guy's, Steve Saunders, has mailed me to say that he will be able to ride at the Classic Trials Show, riding his Triumph on Sunday. So all you fans of Steve better come along to see how he fairs against a very tough opposition. Regards Charlie.

Whilst busy working this afternoon; came across this clip http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6...mp;q=blue+peter Can anyone identify the bike and/or rider; It's a shame that they failed to blow up Anthea Turner (and the perm) completely.

Does anyone know anything about this event? They used to be two seperate events but looks like they've been combined. It's on the ACU fixture list for 10/7 to be organised by East Midlands centre?? I've heard nothing about it, just wondered if anyone else has.

Evening all, My old dad has riden trials on and off all his life. He has riden bultacos the last 15 years or so.but now finds them too heavy. I personally think it may have somthing to do with lack of maintenance and the bike being a bag of bolts! Any way........I am wondering if there is an alternative for him. He is convinced a lightweight trick bsa bantam holds all the answers. I reckon a modern lil 4 stroke with electric start. Either way just wanna keep the old boy riding . Many thanks

Just acquired a Dalesman, does anyone know how the swinging arm releases? I have removed the near side but with threaded spindle but the other side won’t budge. Not sure if it’s threaded or just needs a drift to get it out. also does anyone knywhere the frame number is? does anyone have a manual or handbook? thanks Dow

Hi, when the Honda Cub was launched in 1958, apparently sometime after Honda entered a team in the Ssdt. I am talking about the C50/70/90 range of Cubs(autos) not the road bikes with manual clutch as was seen at the pre 65 this year. The Honda Cub was probably the most important motorcycle ever launched, look at the production figures. If it is true about the trials debut I as a Cub fan have not seen anything about it. P.S I have seen the U.S variations with knobbly tyres etc and high level exhaust systems. Thanks.

Hi all, this is my early Dalesman. My best Google image searching has not found another with the same standard forks and the rear brake/peg arrangement that mine has. Is it just a really early one? Can anyone recommend any upgrades? Front forks are very stiff with little travel, which probably isn't ideal. Don't want to do anything to loose its charm, but could do with it being a bit less hard work.

  11. With the talk on the forum of the Drayton bantam and that McLaren Suzuki all invoked memories of Trials here in the East Midlands Centre all those years ago. I have fond memories of John Orme and his BSA Bantam which was oh so trick especially considering the year was 1970. Problem is with memories the pictures arent so good so i was wondering if anybody else remembered the man or the bike too? Also remember the bike had a sister. That bike was owned by an Alan Molyneux who like me also lived in Long Eaton at the time. Alan went on to ride speedway like another local Trials star and motor cycle shop owner Chris Pidcock. So back to the reason for the posting. I've aqui…

Howdo guys. I am trying to identify the make of a trials frame I have bought off Ebay some time ago. I bought it as a "Cotton Trials" but after searching thro loads of images of Cottons I cannot find anything that matches it. The frame is brazed at the joints, the engine cradle takes a 9e/32a Villiers and looks original apart from the footrests and back brake pedal. Also can you tell me what type forks these are Any help you can give will be appreciated.
