Hi, anyone know how to contact Charlie Harris if indeed he's still around? I'm trying to piece together any history of my Montesa Cota 330 which I'm quite sure used to be his and supplied/supported by Robinsons of Rochdale. I think he was originally from up north somewhere or possibly Midlands? and spent sometime in the Weymouth area which is how the bike ended up in this area. I bought it from someone he sold it to who worked with him at Bovington or Lulworth camps. I seem to think he may have moved east from Dorset possibly Brighton way, but I did see mention on his name (Possibly Same person) on the Redhill and Reigate clubs results from a few years back, riding …

Hi all, newbie here, I have been thinking about doing some Classic Trials, probably twin shock, I live in South Hampshire and wondered if there was anything happening round here, I cant see any point in buying a bike to have some fun if that means a 200 mile drive and only 3 times a year! Maybe its just that I cant find the info but that's the way it looks... I hope you guys can put me right. Thanks, Phil

Hey folks, Just watched a great winter time DVD of the Leroy Winters Memorial ISDT Reunion Ride. Loads of vintage bikes and an interview with Jim Holerich. Malcolm Smith and John Penton were there as well. The DVD was very reasonable and is available by emailing Jay Duchin <jayduchin@comcast.net> Below is a link to a trailer for the movie.

Hello, Does anyone know of this event in April and where i can getta hold of the regs and a contact telephone number? I've done a search on Google and came across this: http://www.ndmc.org.uk/Events/Exmoor/2009/...rial%202009.pdf. However these regs mention cars and motorcycles. I've a contact name of Bill Hartnell but i'm not sure if i've the correct number because no one answer the phone. So can anyone help, or just point me in the right direction? Many thanks, Cliff

Hi, I have just acquired a 125cc Puch Dalesman Trials bike in need of more than a little TLC. It's been years since I was involved with trials and I've lost touch with where to get parts etc. Obviously an old bike like this presents even more of a challenge, but if anyone has any information, pictures, manuals etc that I could purchase, copy, borrow I would be really grateful. Also if there are business that specialize in this bike or similar I'd be happy to hear about them. Thanks! Ian

Hello all This is my first post on the classic part of the forum , to introduce , im from perthshire in scotland , been away from competing for about 10 yrs but , got a bike last year and started again , Ive had a 250 crusader that i rebuilt to std condition a few years ago , i have used it on the hill a few times but its quite a bit more clumsy than a b40 , and ive had a shot of a bullet that seemed to be a lot better balanced and sprung better. I'd like to have a go at the pre-65 trials and if any one had any pointers on the preparation of the crusader to improve it , some have said to put a bullet motor in it , but i have seen a couple of crusaders being …

Thanks for all the help with the kickstart trouble i had. The bike is a converted bsa bantam d7 I now have a new problem that has just started this week. After changing the piston rings i have been riding the bike quite a bit and loving it but... the bike now will run/tick over fine and all seems to be good for the first approx half hour of riding then all of a sudden the bike will just die, almost like it has run out of petrol, except that it hasn't. this started a few days ago. normally with the bike warm it will kickstart no problem however once the bike has died like i mentioned above it wont kickstart for a few hours until it has cooled down again.
