Hi, new to all this, I've just got my hands on a Montesa Cota 200 and this bike has a chrome frame and swinging arm, the engine number and frame number match, does anyone know if this bike was made like this, and what the worth of the bike is. It's a 1980 Montesa Cota 200 in very good nick. Cheers Mick

I have taken quite a bit of interest in the Sammy Miller Classic Trial series, So I thought whilst I'm out of action with a knackered knee, I'd take a look. I was really looked forward to it, although it was some distance to drive. Two and a half hours later I arrived at the Three horseshoes at Wheathill nr Ludlow in Shropshire, as the trial started at 10am I wasn't expecting many riders to be around. And there wasn't any ! but there was a few people walking around (including an observer)also looking somewhat lost and in search of the sections, but nobody could explain where the trial was taking place ! along with a few others I drove and walked around for an hour and lik…

I am intending to build a Bantam trials bike from bits which are beyond any hope of restoration for road use. I have a frame and swinging arm already. Any tips would be appreciated but most importantly, what frame mods are essential. and which are advisory. Also, what are the options for front forks? I am no purist so all suggestions are welcome. I have heard that some Yamaha ones would fit, and more common than say, C15 ones, but am throwing myself at your mercy to advise.

Any help would be appreaciated. Haynes manual says you have to remove clutch, alernator, primary chain tensioner, and engine sprocket simultaniously (probably dropping all 25 beatings in the process) before removeing the cluth back plate to get access to gearbox sprocket. Is this the only way or are there any shortcuts ? Thanks.

Anyone think it would be a good idea to introduce rules to prevent twinshock going the same way as P65, or failing that to introduce a specials class where it would be quite ok to ride converted monoshocks, or expensive custom made hybrids built using parts from later bikes?

I have got a 1980 Montesa 123 and the rear brake pedal has seen better days. I contacted Sandifords and they informed that the part is NLA, so does any one have one lying around or know if they would be available in Spain? Cheers

  18. Hi All This is my first post. I'm located in Johannesburg South Africa. I currently ride classic trials on a circa '67-71 BSA Bantam that I built up. I am about to get a Cheetah Villiers trials bike which is mostly original and has some history, including participation in the Scottish six days. I believe that this brand was a "kit bike". Does anyone have any pics or info that I may use to assist me to restore it correctly. I intend to ride this one in classic trials too. Thanks in advance David Haines

  20. Hi Guys, I'm new. I live in Portugal and always loved doing trials but in a very "unpro" way. I mean I have limited time to ride the bike, so if ride the bike I often feel like it has sqaure wheels, flat tires, and it on purpose makes me fall. Anyway, I still have a brand new exhust pipe lying in my shed and don't know what to do with it. The problem is I don't really know for wich bike it is. I know I bought it years ago from a trials lover (sorry for my bad English, I'm from Belgium) so I'm quite sure it's suppose to fit on a Honda Trials bike. But wich bike? Here are the specs: HM446 Honda Krizman Spark Arrester Model 411 US Pat #3407575 SANKEI 2045 Hopefully …
