Help my beta is not runnig right Its not crisp at the top end and splutters and on the odd occasion spits a flame out the exhaust. any idea on whats wrong? James

Hi guys. Rolling two questions into one here. We have a 2010 evo 125. We had it cheap but with lots of issues. The motor is currently out to be rebuilt, we will be keeping this bike for a long time so don't mind spending the money on it, as there's 3 of us in the house who can use it. One issue how loud it is. The last owner said he removed the exhaust and poured petrol into the pipes and set fire to it, to burn the oil off, and then repacked the silencer but it was still loud. We have coped with it for a while but it needs sorting now. On removing I realised (new to evos) there is more packing within the silencer that you need to cut the pipe open to get to. Im gues…

So my new to me '04 Beta Rev 250 currently has an NGK BP5ES plug in it and the Beta specified Champion crosses over to a 1 step colder BP6ES plug. What are you guys using and if you are also one step hotter, why? Joe

Carrying on with what seems like an endless saga, I bit the bullit and purchased a complete Leonelli Ignition System for my Sons Beta Techno. Although it seems to phyisically fit, there are no instructions! I will ring the suppliers again tomorrow (they told my Son it was very straight forward), but in the mean time, has anyone fitted one of these systems to a Techno? I need to know the following: 1. I'm assuming the ally spacer goes behind the stator as this is the only way it fits! Is this right? 2. changed fork seals and oil on my 06 rev 3 and now i have no rebound dampening .is there something ive missed when rebuilding as it seemed pretty straighforward and ive got the right air gap

This is getting annoying. I contacted Lampkins re a shock re build on my 2007 Rev 3 200 and the reply came " he no longer works here, we can't help". I had a couple of leads on here re alledged shock repair people but I keep getting the same reply - "ooo, not sure about that one". Does anyone know of a company that can without doubt re build my shock? The other option is a replacement. Any ideas on what, where from and how much?

Hi. I'm thinking about getting a more modern beta than the synt that we own atm, so looking at something from 2000 onwards. I have been told that beta spares are very hard to get hold of. What's everyones opinion on parts availability for 2000 onward beta's? Also what bike do you recommend, about 250 cc, I'm guessing that most would be an improvement over the synt.

Hi has any one used the NG brake disks, I need to replace the disk on the rear of my sons evo 125 and the NG disk is about half the price of the original disk. So my question is are the disks as good as the beta disk and if so is the wave disk any better than the standard disk?

Just swapped my Montesa 4RT for a Beta 300 4 T. So a bit new to this model having only had 2stroke Betas before. I followed the downloaded manuals advice re oil and filter change, but on putting the prescribed 900 MLS back in , the oil window is full , as opposed to half full as the manual suggests. I accept there will be a residual value of oil left in the sump after draining but I don't want to cause damage by over filling, anyone experienced the same or has advice on filling. Hi guys. As iv said from previous post, I'm new to trials. Iv looked on YouTube and there is a lack of videos on maintence to trials bike. I mean linkage, water pump and changing of various bearings. I know there a lot of people on here with a lot of experience, so please share. If you carry out any maintenance, please record and post. Cheers

I just purchased a 2012 beta Evo 300 4t. I have not been riding trials very long and had a jotagas 300 previously. I purchased the beta on its condition and had never ridden a 4t trials bike. Well it was a revelation I did not ride for 2 months or so as had a shoulder injury, but went straight to a trial without ever riding the beta. I was like a kid on Christmas unloading when I got to the trial, signed on then off to the 1st section, i normally ride sportsman and going to go clubman next year, it was a 1 route trial set up fairly easy and the weather had been kind. Just bought one of these for the 06 Rev 3, great bit of kit, looks really strong and moulds around the Shocker. The standard one holed in about 2 hours as I'm sure all you 06 riders know about. Cost

I have finaly got round to registering and so thought it about time I tried to find out how I should be setting up my suspension and what better way than to post a new topic. Just got a new 250 Beta and its bloody luvly. Any one have any ideas on the best way to set it up, whilst i'm Ok on the spanners I am no way a qualified mechanic so simpler the better?
