  1. Started by feetupsbetter,

Hi all, been reading/following this site for some time now but never actually registered before. Now I need to be. Some scumbag broke into my garage tonight Tuesday 28th between 9 & midnight & had away my bike. It's a 2005 txt pro 250 in red, frame number VTRGG2502F0250662. They only took the bike even though all riding gear & tools were also around, so must have been a targeted theft. Other local owners be aware & if you see what could be this bike please contact s yorks police quoting C/39997/2015. It's in good nick for the year although hadn't been fully cleaned after riding on Sunday, I have photos & like most of you can give a warts and all descri…

Hi all As of 12pm sunday, me and my brother lost our race and trials bikes. Four bikes in total were stolen and 2 cars (one brand new for my mums 60th birthday) very badly damaged. However due to what i can say is very good work by the local police authority we now have our bikes back, although now in a very different location. Seems the scum (i would use harsher language but I know minors read the forum) rang up about a motocross bike for sale advertised in papers and said they would come around. However rang back hour later saying they had broke down on M5. Sounded fishy so we moved both our cars in awkward positions to the garage so no bike could pass. At 12pm they …

http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Hand+Tools/d10/Punches/sd3302/Letter+Number+Punch+Set+36+Piece/p19757 See above link, can get them at plenty of other places also. Another option is a vibro engraver at about £40. To make the bike less attractive to thieves and more likely to be recovered get it registered, it costs nothing. Then stamp or engrave the reg number on lots of parts, some visible and some hidden. I can't remember the exact figure but doing the above reduces theft by something like 70%

Hi, my Montesa was stolen about a week ago. After only owning this bike for 13 days, it is, well, very annoying to say the least. The bike has a very obvious mount on its front number plate for a litre bottle of petrol and i have made the best photo of the bike i could find my profile picture so you can see what it looks like. If anyone has any information or finds anything could they please let me know. Also if anyone has any advice on what to do to possibly get the bike back i would appreciate it greatly. Thanks, Alex

Please can you keep your eyes and ears to the ground, some scumbag(s) have stolen from our garage the Montesa 4RT Repsol 2006 Trials bike , Frame number ending in "319". these folks knew what they were doing and managed to steal this with a D lock on the front wheel and a R1 Wheel attached to the sub frame. (managed to actually take the wheel out of the R1 in a very bike like professional way - so they are bike savvy! and neat!). Police are very much involved This was the evening of the 17th /early morning of the 18th near Tarporley Cheshire but it could be anywhere! its got some distinguishing marks, and the carbon exhaust cover is burnt etc for example plus other stuf…
