Hi guys I have recently got hold of a 1995 Fantic Section 249r. It is not on the original engine because the previous owner will and truly ruined it so the new one is date stamped 94. After a few electrical problems I’ve finally got it running and the engine is sweet however I run it to see if the fans was working but it doesn’t seem to kick in. I’ve had the thermostat rethreaded into the top of the cylinder cos someone had ruined the threads. Is there anyway of testing the stat or fan to see if they actually work? Many thanks Luke

There was a local trials Saturday but my Gas Gas water pump went out on Wednesday, so I used my spare trials bike to ride it. Its a 1995 Fantic Section. I bought it in 1996 used but I was unable to get it to run right, so it just sat in my garage. When started it acted way too lean, then even when jetted right, after about twenty minutes the same problem started. I recently finally found out that the cooling was not working because the "radiator cap" provided no pressure. I bought a cap for cheap on eBay off a street bike to test this theory. So I found this fantic that needs some work for pretty cheap near me but looking for as much info on it as possible. He claims its a 1990 240? but think if he has the year right it'd be a 247? Looking for confirmation on the model and any info on it such as part availabiltity.

Hi , looking to get some fantic 240 wheels refurbished, bike had been sat in a barn for many years, and I looking to restore it. any recommendations for someone who does a top job near to mid wales for wheel rebuilds and would sort the corrosion out at the same time. Or should I be considering replacing the wheels Cheers

Hi, bit of a long shot but trying to find a scanned copy of an engine manual / parts diagram for a 200 (156) rear kicking fantic. It would be great if anyone could point me in the right direction, I have tried lots of websites but nothing that is complete just the old page or two from the original manual! John

Hi guys I’m after some advice my friend has just got a 243, it would only run on choke to start with and was constantly spitting oil out of the exhaust. We have replaced the crank seals and o rings and give the carb a thorough clean, but it still won’t tick over. Does anyone have any ideas and know the carb settings? Many thanks.

Hi I have a old fantic 303 I think it's a series 1 (red and white) 1987 250cc I've had it for a few years but now it just sits in the garage and was wondering if anyone knows a bit more about there bikes? And how much they're usually worth now? It does have a couple of problems as you would expect Many thanks

Hi folks, Any one out there replaced the standard black tank/side panels with an alternative. Can tanks from other models be made to fit ??. Don't mind modifying frame, etc. I don't have original tanks or side panels, & to be truthful, they add to the overall bulkiness of the bike. Building it up to ride, so keen to utilise current set up/ mods. many thanks.

I've just acquired a 240, which appears to need new crankcase seals. I'm a bit daunted at the prospect, without heading off to Yorkshire, does anyone know a suitable workshop in the South East who may be able to help?

Hi there What's the best gearing on Fantic 240 ? Currently running 11/39 and after first ride I think needs slowing a little (possibly to 12/39?) Standard of riding is expert Kia sections - pretty much modern riding style. Any advice appreciated. cheers, John

Hi does anyone know what thread the stem bolt that holds the top yoke is.? It measures 18.5mm I'd so tried a m20x1. 5 but it's a bit tight thanks

Hi all, I acquired this bike with the hope of giving her a second lease of life at some point, in reality it's a bit cold in the workshop so she's sat there on her own; due to a decline in my health I've lost interest and now wanting to sell her but don't know much about the model - think it's a Champion 247 1990... Can anyone help in identifying and giving me an idea of how much to ask for her please?

Hi Guys, Having a hassle with my clutch, it's an old bike and I am in the process of refurbishing it. The snag is I have no idea how yo open up the clutch and investigate what the actual problem is. Any help will be much appreciated, a manual, video or some pics. Thanks in advance! Leigh

Hello All, I have a brand new PHBL Dellorto that has been giving me float headaches. As a backup, while I sort out Delly, I have purchased a 26mm OKO. Does anyone have the OKO settings for a Fantic 240 pro? Cheers, Ben

I was going to powder coat the frame on my 240 and have moved the footrests and thought I might steepen the fork rake how much do you steepen the forks or is it not worth it. I there any one with pics to show where to cut.

Hi fellows. Fitted the blue Ducati Energia coil as per the attached diagram. Still no spark and now considering removal of flywheel to dig deeper. Any tips on flywheel removal operation (standard r-h threads)? Anything else to consider or look for? Thanks.
