hello everyone looking to put a tubeless rim on the wee fantic 200 hub. thought this would be quite straightforward ....but no it seems not. bought a 36 spoke sherco tubeless rim thinking no bother, alas wheelbuilder says not enough meat on it (whatever this means) my question is has anyone done the tubeless rim and where and what kind of rim do you have . kind regards murray

1995 Fantic Section. Thought I would start a thread, as many questions may follow. New clutch and brake masters fitted. Front brake bled up easy. Clutch not so easy. Ended up seized plates was the problem, but not before putting fluid out of the slave cylinder. Before photos. whitehillbilly

  5. Hi all, right I'm back to square one - I'll try to keep it brief - ish.... Bill pye was confused as to what bike I have although he has not seen it yet. He gave me gaskets etc to fit a 212cc k-roo 1991 but they do not fit. For example, manifold gasket he gave was square, mine is round 2 bolt. The list goes on. The bike definately looks like a 1991 k-roo but we thought it could of been a 250 after what bill said. Being a newbie, I have just come across the engine badge: FM 363 212cc which is a big big breakthrough for me. I'm a newb, it was coated in mud and grease and got missed....oops sorry! I have fitted a PHBH 26 CS carb as some monkey had fitted a 28 BS and wonder…

Can anyone advise on how much fork oil quantity is requird in Fantic 305 Forks? And is it the same amount in each leg? Thanks, Johnny

  9. Started by breagh,

It's an odd one this but any ideas welcome. Old Fantic Section with an OKO carb was running fine but after a wet trial decided to clean carb. Blew out pilot / main etc and now the bike barely runs it's getting a massive amount of fuel. Float needle valve untouched and the carbs not flooding.floats working as they should. Needle looks fine . Really can;t think what's causing this must be something basic to be this far out. Go tell me what i've done wrong and I'm an idiot.

I just unpacked , reassembled , and rode my new toy ... And I have one trivia ? to ask , Who's signature is that on my bicycle ? And boy am I out of shape , 3 minutes on it and I'm beat !!! I can't imagine what it'll be like when I take the 40 tooth front sprocket off and put the stock 28 back on ......... But it's all stock right down to the domino levers and grips ! Is this fantic obsession curable or do I have to go to a 12 step program ? Glenn

Iv got a really tidy (looks unfitted) swing arm for my 305. When fitting tonight I have a problem - the buses are looser on the new swing arm..... Is there a removable press fitted part in there ? Or is it just a different size swing arm hole? Cheers! Tom.

I have just burnt out a 301exhaust (FM450 DGM 38234 S stamped on it) and wondered if it needed repacking. Inside the middle box there is a perforated tube for around 250mmm. Would this have had sound absorption packing in the void behind? Any information photos of internals would be most welcome The rest of the internals appear to be a flattened cone leading into an expansion area. Same question as applies for the rear silencer (Fm237 DGM40127 S). Was there any internal packing or was it an expansion/chicane type.

Has anyone recommendations for lightening clutch on 240 Fantic ( not Hydrolhic ) remove 2 springs ? Best cable ? Levers ? Mine has a home made ext ( small piece of angled steel ) at clutch arm end . This was on bike when I got it , and it's never worked very well ! I believe Shed Works did a kit , but having phoned them , they no longer do them . Be good if anyone has pics of what they have done ? Or know where I can buy a kit from . I also have a 200 rear kick , that I have just aquired , having never rode the 200s before is it worthwhile going down the OKO carb bigger Airbox route , as on my 240 ? Also I believe there is a really simple clutch lightening mod ? Any…

Was almost ready to buy yet another bike, this time a Fantic 240! But then a very observant Italian friend spotted the frame cut away under the motor. Run away from this bike, or still worth the effort? My thanks for your wisdom!
