Hi, Does anybody know if workshop manuals are available for the current GasGas TXT models (2019~)?

I bought a 2002 GasGas 280 txt pro and ufortunantly couldnt use it more than a couple of days before the spring that resets the gear pedal/lever broke. The sound im talking of came after the first time I opened the side of the bike where the clutch is. I have opened and reassembled the bike about 6-7 times now and tried with and without the new spring. By the way, I have not opened up the bike other than from the side where the clutch is. I am a new trials rider in San Diego, CA. I have ridden large adventure bikes extensively and decided to get a trials bike to really learn the fundamentals. I was fortunate enough to come across a 2002 Gasgas TXTpro from a member of a local riding group. As a new owner, I want to make sure I am doing the maintenance and set up for the bike properly. Possibly there is an existing thread I could be pointed towards, but I could not find one. Here is what I am looking to find out: What are the common pitfalls of this year and model that I should look at and remedy if necessary, and what are the remedies? Need some help chaps Front brake on my JTX250 is a bit spongy so tried to bleed it with no real improvement, during which I noticed that there appeared to be a weep showing, on the "bridge" of the caliper, i.e. on the top section where the caliper joins together (AJP 2 pot) when you squeeze the brake on hard. So new seal kit installed with new pistons and 'o' ring that joins the caliper sides together. Cleaned everything with brake cleaner then new fluid and bled up form the bottom up using a large syringe - no air present but there is still a sign of moisture on the joint on the top of the caliper when you squeeze on the brake. Hi all I've noticed a few threads on hear regarding fuel, and just wondered is there a massive advantage to running High performande petrol over the normal stuff? Also when i took delivery of my 2004 TXT 250 Pro the sales guy told me to use 70ml of 2 Stroke oil to every 5L of fuel. ive noticed on here people suggest all different amounts like 60ml 80ml or evan 100ml per 5L can. is there a set rule or is every bike different? Heya as the topic says. Just wondering because our importer says we can expect them in 3 weeks, that was a week ago. Seems strange because I check up every day and cannot find any reports of anyone buying one of these bikes yet. It will probably take 4 weeks by sea then still sit with customs for a while, so that would mean the bikes would have to be on their way already...

Evening all, I've got a txt pro 200 year 2002 and for some reason when I pull clutch lever the bike still moves. After trawling through old posts and watching Jim snells videos I've done the following -new clutch plates ( within right specs etc) -new master cylinder ( bled so no air ) and adjusted to what's right I hope -new clutch cover with all the gubbings - tried dextron 3 and light gear oil 75w left to warm up And yet still when I put it in gear start riding then pull the lever it still moves so have to apply brakes and stall, It's blooming annoying. Was hoping someone could point me in right direction- any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers dan

Hi Guys, just a quick question...... how do you make a Txt pro engine quieter? as I have seen two bikes now (mine a 03 txt pro 280) and (mates a 06 txt pro 300) both these bikes are loud as hell !!! is it because the bikes are old and the exhaust packing has worn out? would newer exhaust system be better? I have. 2004 TXT 280 Pro. Jetting is per recommendations here, fan comes on when it should, running proper coolant, fresh radiator cap. No oil in transmission fluid. I have cleaned and hosed out radiator externals. Running 80:1 using race gas. Problemwas worse with pump gas. Admittedly I ride in San Diego which gets warm, and I do some climbing, but whenever I shut the bike off I can hear the coolant gurgling and boiling. Any ideas?

As per my other thread, I have awful clutch drag (bike will just stall if stopped on the brakes), just taken the plates out and have a couple of questions. 1. Is the clutch pack tolerance for a Gas Gas Pro 9.75mm/9.85mm? Read in a thread on here that it is 9.75mm/10.05mm, but searching elsewhere online I keep finding 9.75mm/9.85mm? 2. When measuring clutch pack, do you measure across the the fiber pads? If so mine measures between 9.63mm & 9.66mm depending where you measure. (See pic below) If that's correct then mines far too thin on the overall thickness so a new pack is needed. 3. Does anyone know if the DP clutch pack for the Gas Gas Pro fall into the right t…

Hey guys. After 6-7 years I have regained the love for my old GG Contact, got her trailered to my house today so I could see what that time sitting outside had done to it.. Other than surface corrosion it all looks real good so result on that. Popped the plug out, cleaned that. Drained fuel and refilled with fresh fuel and Castrol 2T oil very slightly over 50-1 as I was advised and proceeded to kick her over.. Nothing happened, just made my leg ache! Removed plug and cleaned and dried again (so getting fuel as was wet?) checked for spark and had a nice spark.. I'm looking at getting myself a trials bike. I've previously ridden motocross just for fun and have done a very small amount of trials ridding and really enjoyed it. There is a gas gas txt250 1999 model advertised locally and I'm just trying to get some info on the bike and how suitable it would be for a relative trials beginner. And also and problems that I should look out for on a bike this age etc?? and also mainly what sort of money I should be paying? Any help is appreciated

Hi have a 2008 TXT pro 250cc, it has about 200 hours use from new, the bike is running nice now but I have noticed that it has lost some compression, when new, you could not start the engine going downhill, unless you were in 4th gear, now it will start even in first gear, so it is clear that has lost some compression. The question is, shall I get just a new set of rings, or get the first replacement piston as well? , Cheers from Chile Francisco

doing an overhaul of the bike and it needs new seals on the front forks. Can someone tell me what parts i need to order please ? i hate to do just the seals to find out later some other parts should have been done at the same time. Tia,

Hi Guys, I am not long after buying a few project bikes/parts cheep! and after a few hours in my bike shed I was able to build a 97 or 98 (forget again) gas gas JTX 270 from one pile of parts, and after it was built I clocked up about 12hrs of riding time on it! in this time it was very well behaved, started first time everytime! and a lovely bike to ride! but now after a few weeks parked up, when I start it, it wont start and keeps blowing spark plugs! I have checked the color of the plug a few days ago and it was carbon fouled, and when I place a new/other plug in it, it runs ok (well little rough at full throttle) but then next day same thing, kick it over it star…

Hi hope someone can help me out having trouble with little lads 50. Starts fine from cold but as soon as its warmed up, and he falls off and lays it down on the floor i have trouble starting it again. I've cleaned the carb out, put new float and needle valve and it's a bit better but still having to turn off the fuel and kick it till it's cleaned the excess fuel. Been having touble with my 200 TXT 02. It starts fine 1st or 2nd kick with a bit of choke. Choke off then let it warm up a bit then rides around at slow speeds fine ! However when I go for a bit of a climb the and open it up it has just not responded at the top end. Twice now the bike has stopped short on a climb due to 'Choking off' and nearly killed me through having to jump off or roll backwards down the hill ! I dont know if the top end has been done at all since new and I will be checking the reeds whilst the carb is off. Well, at least I'm getting plenty of excuses to learn to maintain my bike. After riding for an hour or so on Saturday, I decide to fall in the mud for a little while. Having picked myself up and scraped the mud out of various parts of the bike, I was ready to head off again and CRUNCH... the kick start broke. Now, I'm not a very lucky man... so naturally, this took place at literally the furthest corner of the woods. So, I pushed the bike up the tallest hill I could managed and bump started. Had the bike put tonight for the first time in months. Clattered about as usual and hit the odd rock or two, then noticed the gear lever a bit bent, then I couldn't find any other gears apart from first and second ?? What may I have done to cause this and what may be the sure ?? 250 2014 factory replica.
