Has anyone ridden or own a new 2008 300 Pro? I was just wondering what your first impressions were, and how you liked the bike. I'm a long time Gasgas owner and was considering buying a new 2008. I have a 2006 now. Thanks!!

TXT PRO 200 on an '06. On the stand without the engine running I can get all gears up & down the box if I rock the rear wheel forwards & back and change by hand. The gear lever does not spring back to a neutral position tho it has to be returned by hand. That is to say if i put it up to 2nd the lever stays up. While riding the bike I can shift up from 1st to 2nd sometimes 3rd but try going down the box I've no idea what gear im in. It wont 'snick' into gear either up or down. I've bled the clutch, there's no drag and there's a bit of free play at the lever end so I'm pretty sure that is ok. New gearbox oil in. I've watched Jim Snell's video about …

Just after a bit of info on the 2012 models please; -Build quality and durability? Especially compared to other brands such as beta and sherco -How are they power wise? I find the 250 evo has a fair bit of grunt which i like, will the gasser be the same? Thanks

Hi again. Just a slight issue which is probably a simple fix but would like some input. Done a trial today ad basically the bike seemed to be under powered. Underpowered as in, say I'm in third gear, the revs didn't seem to last long enough. You know when you get that raspy sound when you reach the top end of the gear? I mainly noticed it when riding between sections on a long flat , opening the throttle open. Also have noticed it doing steep hill climbs that it will start to make a raspy noise. A bit like the noise when your engine is not quite warm enough, although it has been running and is warm. Only thing I need to add is that my sprocket and chain is worn. I …

Broke my gear lever today and obviously brought on some issues in the gearbox. The bike will only change gear up the box and won’t come down unless leant right over gear lever side (bar end 2 foot off the floor) and wobbled. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could have done, and the severity of the fix. Thanks

i bought a txt 280 03 model 4 months ago, really pleased with bike,but in the short time ive had bike it has gone through 3 spark plugs. is this normal ? or could there be a fault ? im using npk bpr5es plugs. hopefully its normal nothing to worry about ,could anyone of you out there be the sender of good news

My '04 TXT Pro has clutch drag and its also started to get quite hard to get into neutral (both symptoms are present after the bikes warmed up), I've watched the gasgas video on setting up the clutch lever so thats OK, have also read the long thread on friction plate thicknesses and I don't have any spare plates so can't mix and match. So my two options are switching to ATF, or I read somewhere on here about burning in the clutch so advice needed on both? I've read mixed views on ATF, some people say its fine and others say it can eat away friction plate fiber? Also is burning the clucth in recommended? i recently lightly dropped my bike in the forest and dented the radiator, it didnt seem a hard drop at all but unfortunately it put a hole in the radiator where i needed a new one, anyway, i rang a well known gas gas parts dealer who is actually very good to deal with and ordered up a new rad, costing

I have a 280 TXT and am looking to upgrade it, an 05 200 Pro is for sale, would this be a good move to make or would i find it underpowered?

hello every1 kinda new to this and was wondering after cleaning my bike what would spray would you reccommend (wd40, gt85 etc etc) to keep it in good working order? any other tips would be good thanks in advance for any help andy

Tried to help a friend today who kept stalling her 280 Raga. She thought it was her but when we got back to pits I adjusted her carb and took a putt. All seemed good until I hopped the front end and it died. Hmmm I thought and tried just holding the bike while bouncing the bike with the handlebars. Just like holding the kill switch for a second bog. Pulled the carb and adjusted float level and travel. Same thing. Pulled tank and disconnected kill switch, no change. Tapped and tugged various wires looking for intermittent, no change. I didn't have a flywheel puller so there was no way to get a visual on the stator. Anybody else seen this kind of behavior? Any suggestions?…

Looking to make the throttle easier/softer on my 2010 TXT 250 which has the PHBL26 carb. Put a new cable on and lubed the throttle tube properly but I believe the return spring is the issue. I also have a 2017 TXT 250 with a Keihn and it requires much less effort to open the throttle. Trying to get the amount of effort on the Dellorto to feel more like the Keihn which is very smooth/low effort. So, has anyone gone to a softer spring? If so where did you get it (hardware store?) and did it effect the closing of the throttle at all? I don't want to modify the stock one, but what about cutting off some of the coils? Cheers

hi i own a gas gas 280 o2 model and the problem is when i kick the bike over and pull in the clutch as soon as i put it into gear the bike begins to move forward without any throttle.even after leaving it to warm up it still does this.it is impossible to stand still on the bike with the clutch in as it just keeps trickling forward and the only way to stop it is to hold on the front brake. any help would be great thanks

Hi all I’ve tried to kick start my gas gas txt 250 this morning and heard a crack from inside the casing the the kick start stayed down and didn’t spring back up the now the spindle connected to the kick start spins freely any advice would be appreciated thanks.

hi could someone tell me what difference it would make if i put a new clutch spring ( the round tapered one ) which is 1.2mm thick rather than the standard 1.3mm thick? cheers coxy

After reading the thread re. rear suspension play in another section recently, while checking my bike prior to tomorrow's trial I thought I'd see if there was any play on my bike. Bugger me, there's about 15mm vertical play in the swingarm (although no horizontal movement, fortunately). I guess the problem is where the linkage connects to the bottom of the shock, correct? Is it a difficult job for a mechanically-challenged person such as myself?
