Gas Gas

Hi lads, Got my bike out today for first time in ages and there is a problem with the clutch, basically when I pull the leaver nothing happens. If its in gear and I pull it in the wheel is still locked, and if I have it running and knock it into gear it just goes but the clutch still doesn't work, tried going through all gears and rocking it etc to free it up but nothing. Have given it a little ride (best I can in garden) but still won't work. Any suggestions? Thanks

hi everyone just wondered if you could help, ive got a 2006 gg pro 250 and the clutch feel is extremely hard to pull in and let out to the point where its giving me pain in my arms and cramp even after riding just one section. the thing is ive replaced the clutch pack and re measured that and its fine and also had a full new set of seals and o-rings in because i thought that may be the problem. how do i get the clutch so its light again without spending hundreds of pounds on it?? ive been told a bigger bore clutch pipe and larger master cylinder and piston but would these really help at all?? any ideas on what could be the cause of this extremely heavy clutch ive tried…

I have no spark, I have checked stator ,trigger coil with Ohm meter, they check good. So it must be CDI box , wrong , new CDI still no spark , rechecked with different meter all close to spec. I say close because I'm using an analog meter kinda hard to read the 20.x reading all were less than 1 ohm off. I checked the output of stator and trigger coil, nothing. What's next ? order new stator and trigger coil??

  9. Does anyone have a workshop manual for a gasgas txt pro 2004 125cc. Not the service manual, the workshop manual, which tells you how to change all parts on the bike, service it, tweak settings etc? In pdf format or you can send me the link. Would be really useful if someone had it. Cheers, Matt

Does anyone have recommended settings for the Keihin carb? 2012 280 Pro Racing. Bike runs pretty sweet but on tickover the exhaust 'pops' quite a bit - more so than others I've listened to on Youtube. I'd like to check the mixture is as per recommended. I've searched everywhere and cant find anything - sorry if I'm missing the obvious. Thanks

I have posted about this problem before in the past however I have tried a few solutions to no avail and wanted to give people an update and hopefully get some fresh idea's... My bike is a 2008 Gas Gas 300 and a strange clutch problem started happening a while back.... When the clutch is under load the clutch slowly starts to bite more and more (resulting in me having to pull the lever in more and more until it is against the bar and the clutch is fully engaged and the bike is driving forward) To try to explain it more clearly here is where its giving me problems.... lets say I have a very small run up to a rock and I have to put the front wheel against it. to balance…

  15. Started by redneck,

my bike has been stored for almost a year and in november i finally got the rear tire fixed, not as id like it though, and i hopped on to see if all was good and the clutch was beyond horrible. i let out all the adjustment then bled it twice. it is barley better now. now all the adjustment is taken up and the master cylinder (its an AJP) hits the stop point and at that point the clutch is disengaged just enough to come to a stop with out killing it. the running is very bad and is almost as if i had the clutch out. how can this be fixed? should i bleed it from the reservoir to the ram where i was bleeding it from the ram up with a syringe? do i need a new master cylinder…

Hi, Can anyone give any tips for curing clutch drag on a gasgas 80 please? It's a brand new 2015 model which I believe has an identical bottom end of the 125. When my son got it new for Christmas he rode it for about 30 mins total, clutch dragging straight away. After about 3 or 4 minutes ticking over in neutral the clutch lever would no longer pull in! Luckily he never tried to pull it in any harder. At this point I'm thinking why on earth did I buy a gasgas! Anyway I opened the side casing up and found the centre bolt was undone! I removed it and refitted with blue loctite and went to our first trial with it on New Year's Eve which went quite well considering it was…

  17. Hi: Newbie here looking to replace my Scorpa by a Gas Gas and I am looking at the TXT Pro 2002. Why this years? Because I live in California, land of the fruits and nuts and thanks to some pretty aggressive environmentalists there are no post 2002 trials bike that can be legally ridden year round on public land... I can get into more of the details, but basically any off road bike newer than 2002 bike will be issued a "red sticker" which will make it illegal to ride on public land during the 6 to 7 months around summer. There are ways around that, some legal, some not as much... but that's another discussion altogether. So... I am in the market for a 2002 bike t…

  19. I stripped my sons bike to replace a broken gear selector shaft. Prior to disassembly the engine ran fine. After rebuilding i cant get a spark at the plug. I tested the plug on another bike and its ok so it must be the ignition system. Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong. Does anybody have a copy of a wiring diagram for the 2005 model so i can check that i have fitted all the correct wires together. thanks for any help.

After having afew problems with the bike, I decided it was best to give the bike a quick overhaul replacing seals, bearings and other bits. The rebuild has taken me around 3 weeks waiting for parts, and finding the spare time to go in the garage and build it back up. I havent taken the engine/gearbox apart, just the carb exhaust and airbox, as my mechanical knowledge is limited and it usually costs me money when I fiddle with things Im not sure about. I have replaced the spark plug for a new iridium plug but now there is no spark. I originally thought it wouldnt start through lack of fuel in the system after all pipes being disconnected and the carb being taken off but …
