Hi all, I cannot squeeze any spark out of my newly purchased Mod 199 350 Coil, condenser and points are new and set correctly At first I suspected a short to ground but after two days if thinking and tinkering it seems my flywheel isn’t sufficiently magnetic any more. Even when turning the crank with the electric drill I only get 3 V AC out of the magneto Any ideas what else could be wrong and how to overcome or test that further? Raoul

How different are the airboxes on models 99 to 116 ?

Hi, while inspecting my newly acquired Sherpa 350 mod 199 I noticed a wobbly front wheel. After taking apart and comparing with the parts book I noticed that I am missing a spacer. Does anybody probably have the needed width of that spacer so that I can make one? Arrow marked item on pic! Raoul

Hi . Just got a 116 Alpina project . Some of the missing parts are seat , elephants foot silencer and airbox /filter . looking for parts . Also advice on the fuel tank , I don’t know if it leaks but the rough inside finish and petriol soaked interior means it can’t be sealed inside against modern fuel ,any suggestions ? i’m in Scotland so UK solutions would be appreciated Lee

Hi all I have a 1974 sherpa t fuel tank that has been cleaned out 3 time's, but after sitting with fresh fuel in it for 20mins or so I'm getting a yellowy brow colour liquid selling in the fuel pipe. I'm wondering if these old tanks can handle new age fuel or is it slowly desolving lol. I'm thinking about cutting the outer shroud of the tank off and using some other tank underneath to keep the original look. The original tank look like it fiberglass or something. Cheers

Hi Guys, My local engineering company who are to ream out and then press in the steel liner into my back and front hubs has been asking what the interference fit should be. Too small and the hub might crack. Too large and the liner may come loose. My man thought it might be either 4, 6 or 8 thousands of inch. He is reluctant to take it on unless he has the correct spec that works. Any guidance appreciated. Thanks

Hi all just had the ebay itchy fingers and brought a 1976 sherpa 125 rolling chassis, I'm wondering if the frame is compatible with the bigger 250/350 engine's or is built especially for a 125 motor. I know the wheels are 1inch smaller than the 350 etc but that's about all the information I can find on frame dimensions. I have two potential motors to fit in the roller, a yamaha 125 aircooled 4t the type that comes in the tyf or a pit bike engine. I'd like to fit the yamaha engine but there will be a fair bit of fabrication as it's probably a little taller than a 125 air cooled 2t, but if I come across an original bultaco engine of a bigger cc I might go down that road che…

I got this tank with my 198A that I am restoring. I believe it is Fibre Glass [Not Good] and has a push fit fuel cap I believe it could be a period Sammy Miller item?

I bought my late friend's 198A and want to finish the restoration. He left instruction that the front wheel spacer was the wrong one. Can anyone tell me the correct dimensions for this spacer or better still, where I can get one? I have an ocean of new and used parts that came with the bike but not that particular spacer! Hi, I need to buy a new swinging arm bush kit for my bultaco 159. Im looking for a bit if advice, is it better to get the Bush kit from inmotion or is there a better option out there ie roller bearings?

Does anybody know if the exhaust mid sections differ between 250 and 350 on m158 onwards.
