Hi Been having some issues with the mixture on mine, plug is always sooty black, went through new plug in a trials and a practice today, saw that the TPS was loose too, anyone know of somone in the leicester area that can reset the tps and have a fiddle with the mixture? i have had a google but couldnt see any trials mechanics in leicester at all but them i am not the best at googling. I do plod around on the easy routes so i dont make the bike work as hard as it could, i cleared it out with a quick 4th gear full throttle blast and it smoked like hell for a while. that did make it a little happier but then wouldnt idle, cleaned the plug and its all lovely aga…

My green baby is sick and has a lot of bearing noise. I believe the top end is fine the bike has a ton of power and not a ton of time on it. Assuming it's only the lower bearings can anyone help me out and tell me what parts are needed to swap out the crank bearings? Anything else I should do / buy when in there? Best place for parts? LewisSport is out they are at SSDT for 2 wks. Input appreciated.

OK are there any electronic/computer geeks out there who have an OSSA TR280? I tried to buy the cable from an ex distributor and they wanted $650CAD ($500USD) - no way. I cannot find one for sale in elsewhere. BTwice does not respond. If I know the proper communications protocol, a cable could be made up for under $40CAD, which would include the connectors to the OSSA. After hunting around I was able to find out some information: Two of the four pins on the diagnostic connector are for power. The other two are for communications. Looking at a picture of the BTWICE cable (from USB) it shows some electronics for protocol conversion, but I cannot quite…

I've got an Ossa MAR with a lovely alloy tank which has been little used. I bought it about 10 years ago completely disassembled (everything including the engine, gearbox, rims and spokes - everything to it's last component). I put it together very carefully and had everything either polished, powdercoated and replaced with stainless. I don't remember much of the detail, but am now trying to get it finished. The engine is installed in the frame but moving the gear lever up or down does not select a gear and does not seem to engage with anything. Two questions: Am I going to have to take it all to pieces to get at the gear selectors and Contrary to my exp…

Anyone had their TR frame powder coated? Will there be an issue with the heating process affecting the bonded parts? Not too keen on the frame colour of my 12 bike and fancy something a bit different. I assume the factory bikes with the white and green frames have been powder coated but just checking that assembly of the actual frame wasn't done afterwards. Any advice?

I need to repaint the fuel tank on a 1975 Ossa and wondered exactly what the white base colour was when new. I went to my local paint supplier and the number of "whites" avaliable is quite amazing!!! I think it should be slightly more creamy white than pure brilliant white but what would be the correct RAL code Any help greatfully received.

My 2013 factory 300 is coming in on Wednesday the manual is with it. I'd like to have the fuel ready to go when I get the bike. Is there a specific oil that Ossa recommends, or can I use the same Maxima K2 that I use in my Sherco? What ratios are you guys running? Tnx.

My son and I recently picked up a great deal on a running riding 74' Ossa MAR 250. Here we will post as we do the restore on it. The progress will be fast as we hope to have it ready for AHRMA at Donner this July. Now the bulk of the work is going to take place starting in June as we are moving at the end of the month and will start once we get in the new place. We will hit it hard for a month and the bike will be like new when done. I have attached a picture and video on the Ossa as it sat about 2 weeks ago.It runs perfect and sounds great. My son just putting it around for a shake down run. Stay tuned and glad I found this forum. Ossa Video of bike putting around

Howdy folks, long time lurker first time poster! After spending the better part of a week trying to nut out an electrical problem with my 2013 280i, I have hit a wall. I was wondering whether some kind soul might have a copy of the service manual (or more specifically the wiring diagram) they could either send me, or point me in the direction for a legit download? I have tried downloading it from http://www.ossausa.c...arts/tech-tips/ but the file is damaged, and it now appears the site is down... Most of the referenced links in other threads to the ossa canada site no longer work either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not to stir the pot about new bikes and the rules regarding bikes in competition , What are we going to do if the new Ossa (release nov. 10 ... I think ?) http://www.ossafactory.es/v3/index.php#home Is a twinshock ,Watercooled ,manual disc brake machine ... Or if it is just a new twinshock ? Does it get to compete against the old twinshocks like mine , or does it go up against the modern bikes ? Only clue I see about the bike is TR280 injected ....... And is this the same folks that closed the Ossa factory doors in what 1985 ? Glenn

Before we start I am not posting this for any other reason than to understand how the fuel injection works, its not criticism and its not praise, I'm just interested. In the starting issues thread it was mentioned that the Ossa like a lot of two strokes needs to be revved from time to time to clear it out and this got me thinking. In a carb fuelled two stroke we have an inlet port and transfer ports. My limited understanding is that as the piston travels up this creates a vaccuum which sucks fuel mix into the cylinder below teh piston. When the piston returns this mix is forced out via the transfer ports and ends up on top of the piston. The problem with this is that so…

Has anyone relocated their foot pegs whilst retaining the original mount ? Or does this need cutting off, and the new mounts welding on ? Either way, photos would be great

Has anyone yet determined if the Jitsie Ossa tr280 air filter is an addition to the regular filter, or a replacement? I have one and the dual foam filter looks like it could be meant as a replacement. At the very least it should make cleaning of the main filter less frequent as if it acts as a pre-filter it should catch 99% of the crap before it gets to the main. Sunlingkau, I think you also have one, what do you think of it, and do you run it as a pre-filter?
