can any one help me i need to know the centers of the yokes for a beamish i have a front end i wish to put on my new frame i have built i will make the yokes myself on the cnc machine in work so if any one could help i would be most greatful i need centers for forks and steem thanks

I have been working on 250 (yellow) Beamish and just finished rebuilding after a re-bore. The bike has a new Mikuni carb on it but with right hand mixture screw on it. The carb has the numbers 26 and 8074 stamped by the choke lever and WO 6 1 below the main body The carb is supposed to be set up for a 250 but I have had to put the needle clip on the bottom groove to get any sort of running out of the engine. Still feels very flat. Can anybody advise jetting for 250 reed valve engine.

I've been offered an old Suzuki rl 250 by a friend, it's been sitting in a barn for 17 years!!!!! yes it actually has been in a barn for that long!!! i don't want it as a serious competitive trialer just a bike that'll do it all if i want? It wants a resto really, but it runs fine it was started last week for the first time since it was parked up by the farmer.. i'm trying to find out what its worth? Hi all, I have just come across an ex John Reynolds works beamish, apparently it was sold to a family friend by John after completing the scottish on it, the bike has been untouched and tucked away safely since then, could anyone with any info or pics of john riding a beamish in the scottish 6 day, or what year he rode one there please help, i will post some pics of the bike as soon as i can. thanks: Scrumpy

Hi, does anyone know where (in the UK ) I can get new headstock bearing races from for a silver engined 250, it had the dynotape frame number many moons ago but that fell off about 25 years ago. Can i use taper bearings ? and does anyone know the size ? cheers Dave

Just a bit of fun at Christmas (I have no connections to this seller) especially as I am so out of touch with the price of these things.

250 Beamish needs re boring, do I stay at 250 or remove the insert liner and go back to the original manufactured size of 325. If so what else is needed to be done. What difference will be felt if I switch to the 325? Anybody got any other tips to make a Beamish as competitive as possible?

I am looking for parts to my old RL250 and found a website www.rl250.com however they do not answer their phone, nor do they respond to email. Anyone know if they are still in business?

Your opinion about Suzuki RL250 or Suzuki Beamish?

Hey people, Im having trouble getting my beamish suzuki 1981 bike working. i don't really know what is wrong with it, i have tried the cdi unit for the spark, i have put fresh petrol in and i have checked everything else that i thought might be the problem, and it still will not start. There is one thing i was not sure about, that is the clutch plate. When i took the casing off, oil came out and at the time i thought this was the problem and oil is not meant to be in there. so i blocked it up where i believe he oil was coming throught, and now it still does not work. i know some bikes clutch plates are dry and some are not, so i was wondering is the beamish suzuki 1981…

any one out there who can help me im thinking of buying a suzuki beamish sidecar its a genuine one out of the factory whitlock one owner from new and registered but its been stood for a few years in a shed but it runs fine and its all there nothing is missing at all just wondering what its worth and if its a good investment or stay away from it thanks !!

I was going to have a go at buying a 350 gripper, the kickstart is missing,. question is has anyone had any success in finding a gripper kickstart and from where? Whilst at the 2-day Dartmoor Trial this weekend (great trial, thanks to Bill Hartnell and his helpers!) I swapped one of my Fantic 200s for clean looking 325 Beamish. Maybe a bad move from a competitivness (?) standpoint but nostagia said I needed a Beamish as I trashed the rearframe loop of my mates 250 back in 1979 using a hard place and 3rd gear! This one has no rear loop to trash! It has the black engine and I think ist an 81 model. Although it looks clean it would not pull the skin from a rice pudding. Hello all. I am having a machinist friend to manufacture some replacement bushings for the RL 250 Suzuki. I picked up a sample of a new stock item and plan to have a set made from those specs. We are planning on using bronze stock to make them. I don't know what the cost is going to be, but I thought I'd see if anyone else needed a set. This is the same guy that is going to make an aluminum swingarm for the same bike for me.
