Finally got my 4rt, The only thing is it says to run in for 20 mins that seems short by any standards ,what have you lot done?

Hi all, I have recently got a 315R, I believe it is a 99 model, however the 10th vin number is a V, when I looked it up is states its a 97?? This aside, the bike has been spot on...no issues until yesterday. Chock on, bike started 1st kick, idled fine. Once warmed up I knocked the choke off went to set off and the bike died. Restarted, same thing. I thought it might just not have had warmed up enough. Chock on, started and ran fine. I ended up riding it with the chock on, the bike was fine like this. Knocked chock off again after about 15mins of riding and it died when I went to set off again. Put chock back on and rode it fine, it took about 40min later and finally…

Has anybody fit the orange, black and white S3 camo rim stickers to their Repsol? If so, would you be willing to share a photo or two? I'm not a hunter or a member of the military. In fact, I generally don't fancy camo. But, these might look sharp since they have all three main Repsol colors. Thanks.

I'm installing the S3 E start on a 4RT. Near the end of the under fender install, a rubber boot with a number of connectors inside is supposed to get pushed down between the throttle body and frame. This is pretty much the same as the OEM setup but one connector accepts an addition to the harness so there is maybe a little more wire. The problem is that this boot with connectors looks to be twice the size of the space it is supposed to go into and I'm not getting it in place. (The estart kit adds the battery under this area so not as roomy as OEM but I didn't get a good picture of the OEM set up of this area before disassembly.) I have pulled the airbox off again but…

I have a 2018 Montesa 300rr with the S3 electric start kit. Best investment ever. However the one thing I don't like about it is that I have to pull the starter motor off to check the motor oil. I've got it down to a science so its not a big deal/ Until tonight. I went to check the oil (good thing I did, it was low) so I started it up according to the manual to warm it up. I used the estart. No issues. Put the starter motor back on like normal, hit the button and it just spins, wont engage the flywheel. After a bunch of rooting around I figured out that the starter is spinning backwards. Anyone have any idea why it would do this? Everything is hooked up properly…

Does anyone have the top end big bore with 11 cc (299) ? Can I have feedback on the product? I m considering to put one in my 300rr. Would that put any harm on the bike? Note: it also has a titanium pipe. Thanks

Hi there was thinking of fitting the s3. 280 kit does it fit easily , crankcase mods or no? Does it give you more bottom end grunt ? I already have a futt titanium system (mitani) and do you need to mod anything else if you fit this kit ? Many thanks for all your help Martin

Im sure there must be a thread on here but here goes anyways,whatopinions do you guys/girls have on the bigbores? ie is there a noticeable torque increase or a smoother uptake down low? And are they reasonable value for money relative to performance gains? I have a 15 4rt 260.

It's been over a year now since the 4RT replaced the 2ST whats the concensus: Did Montesa do the right thing or should they have run on the 2ST for a couple more years? How many units are the dealers selling in 06 compared with 04? Do you think the indoor series has hurt Montesa?

anyone booked the 4rt test day , how much does it cost? even though its a six hour drive sounds like a good day as long as it doesnt cost a fortune.

Hello all, I am a complete newbie to trials. Recently bought a 2008 4RT of which is great. Runs so sweet and had zero problems. On my Honda MX bikes I use a Scotts Performance stainless steel oil filter. I have found this oil filter to be the best you can get!! http://www.scottsperformance.com/products.php?PartType=3 My question is will an oil filter from a Honda CRF250 fit the 4RT ? Hi Have just bought a montesa cota 348/349 ?? can anyone out there help identify what ive got before I go looking for parts, chassis and engine numbers match 51M24661, the frame appears to split and has a sump guard at the bottom and has been painted white (badly) should this be black not seen a white one??. Hello Collegs, I'am goning to repair a old Montesa 311 for a good friend, but he lost thre right crabkase cover, the one with the waterpump in it. You see it on the photo what is missing ? I need the whole item with the waterpump, (waterpump must be OK). Or a contact were I can get one This would be realy helpfull for me, thanks in advance. Max
