I currently own a 260 repsol 4rt with plenty of upgrades. Twin map throttle body, bigger radiator, termigoni system etc . . . I'm toying with the idea of sticking a big bore kit on it, has anyone gone from having a 260 to a 280? did you notice any difference?

Hey. Sure this has been asked before. 260 vs 301 for novice rider? Im 3 months into trials and the beta 300 i bought is a real handful. A mate wanted it off me, so got my money back on it. I ride most weekends but just havnt hit it off with the beta. Ive been riding bikes for years, im just new to trials. I've always had 4 strokes in whatever sport ive ridden in and id like to try a 4rt before I have to buy another 2t. Cheers

Can the S3 280 kit be installed without a programmable throttle body, will it self adjust to the bigger displacement? or is a programmable throttle body necessary. Thanks, Ken

I see the 2017 300rr appears to have gone up by £100 to £7599. I was thinking it was about time they came down a bit??? Any sign of the 2018 300rr? Looks like all that's different is a new side stand and stickers?

So, my new 300RR arrives tomorrow! Few questions for you all..... How do you go about running in a new 4rt? Obvious mods to make straight away? How do the standard gearing and maps work/feel? Now to sit and wait for the van man! Cheers guys.

What is the difference in the top end of the new 301 vs the big bore kit (S3) for the 300rr? The bigbore brings it to aprox 299cc. Isnt it what the 301 measures? On a thread i started while ago I was contemplating the big bore and i had mention I was curious about the new edition!! Turns out the 301 is pretty much the 300 with a big bore and some adjustments in the valve that controls the engine brake in the lower end (correct me if I m mistaking please). Updates: Got the programable Throttle body from factory on 2018 RR so I just purchased hardware and softwares for re-mapping! Termignoni exhaust and header are next! Big bore is on its way via mail! If you re…

I gather than the Montesa uses a standard clutch setup with coil springs rather than a bellville type arrangement ala GG/TRS/etc. Is there any adjustability available to change clutch pull effort, similar to the Beta where you can flip the spring retainers, or would I need to start pulling springs? Just curious... I don't have one, and I've only ridden one briefly, so no idea if I'd need to do any of this, but generally I need a soft pull due some hand problems.

Hi folks, I've recently bought a 300rr and still getting used to the bike. It has come with a 41 tooth rear sprocket and a 10 tooth front, which I believe is standard? On my first outing I found that the bike rides really nice running in first gear but is a bit quick in second. My spare rear wheel has a 42 tooth sprocket from my previous bike (300 gas gas) I ran this and didn't find a lot of difference, but have since noticed that second is now only very slightly more manageable. My friend is running a 43 tooth rear sprocket and uses second much more, he is preferring this setup, I rode his bike and I'm not convinced. What do you folks run a…

Hi everyone, I'm a bit of a thrasher, and I'd like to get a HD skid plate before even scratching up the stocker. Which HD option out there is the most user friendly for keeping the skid plate in place when doing oil changes, yet still offers good coverage? Thanks! Jon

Hi guys, I was wondering if someone can confirm which power gets to the headlight plug on the 300rr? I'll be using the bike at night a fair amount and need it to power some kind of light that will allow me to see. Once I know for certain the power I can figure out my options. Thanks!

Hi all! My first post.......I have a bad fuel injector after drowning the bike in a river crossing. The parts fiche shows the whole fuel injector assembly, not just the injector. The injector looks pretty generic but I can't find a replacement anywhere. The number on the injector is FE26 BBR. Any ideas?? Thanks!

I've had my new bike out for one ride so far, and have a little hr meter with RPM guage that tracks max rpm's and it seems to be reading low.. At idle the numbers seem logical, but when revved out it seems low. So what is approximately our max rpm? I would have assumed over 10,000.. But maybe with the heavy flywheel and restrictive exhaust it just can't get there? Anyone?

Hello. I am new, and I am old.... I have this 2017 Montesa that has been so great for me in these challenging times. I purchased it in Jan 2020... just before the lockdowns and all that went along with this pandemic. I monkey with my bike regularly. It's stored in our family room (during cold Canadian winter months); I have a few mods that I'd like to share, and Ive got high hopes some other riders can do the same. Before I go to bed and leave this chatty space, I can say this: when I first got my bike, I added a Honda XL175 kickstarter rubber to the kickstart lever. Oh you younger guys can laugh about it, but I occasionally take my brown dog poodle for a run …

Can someone clearly describe what side of the tabs the rear muffler on the 300rr hangs on? It seems like either side of both tabs can actually still allow me to fit the muffler. I'd like to get it where it should be. Thanks, Jon

Has anyone been successful in getting a new 300RR insured for the road? The current insurance company I'm using for my 2015 260 doesn't recognise the 300, and so far neither do any of the others I've tried. Cheers
