    Beta 4-stroke

Beta and Montesa have traditionally been seen as the two main brands that have produced quality bikes year in, year out. I agree with you about the Beta footpeg brackets being flimsy but gear levers and brake pedals are similar across all bikes - try going over the rocks and not through 'em Why does the tank have to be removable? It doesn't get in the way of any maintenance so why? Just because the Scorpa has a tidy exhaust doesn't mean that ALL other bikes are ****! The Beta carb can be removed with the tank, rear guard, airbox etc. all in place. I don't know much about the Scorpa so I won't get into a slanging match about who's bike is better. Why is it a shame that so many people buy Beta's? My guess is that they have good market share due to producing nice, solid, reliable bikes at a good price with excellent importer support. In summary: - Yer talking out yer
  2. Oh dear, I had to check to see if I had slagged him off too
  3. Do you have 'normal' bars with the brace or the fancy fat bars? If they're normal, try routing the cable through the bars over the clamps but below the brace. Test to make sure that the cable isn't too tight when on full lock. Big belly won't make no difference then
  4. You didn't buy an engagement ring from Goldsmiths recently did you?

    Beta Wheels Bearings

I'm pretty sure that they are '6004 RS' bearings... Can anyone else confirm whether that's right or wrong?
  6. If there's a typical BS joke in there somewhere, I can't find it!

    What Air Filter?

Ooh, you Bitch! I bought it to sell on again, hopefully make a profit too (when is Dougies Honda contract up?) PS
  8. That's more than I thought it would have been Total amount of video taken was about 110 minutes so that's half junk, half good stuff. Outdoors video usually works out at 2/3rds junk!

    What Air Filter?

Probably coz it's not standard and costs more money... 'Go faster' stripes on Mk3 Cortina's spring to mind

    Changing

I wouldn't bother Jack, it's a trial version so it will only let you convert 1 minutes worth of .wmv to .mp3 Is it for a PSP or something?
  11. Aw bless him, not enough glory to go around?
  12. I don't think he flapped at all, the bugger thrives on pressure and you can actually see the boost that the crowd give him when they cheer him on. I think we do expect Doug to win and it's a gutting feeling when he doesn't. I've no idea where you were sat in the arena but have you seen the up-close video's yet? I'm pretty sure that he was the only one to clean the logs/shed in reverse until the nose dive took him out. I thought his chain had snapped at the time, as the bike lunged forwards and then instant nothing. Too much power, not enough grip? I don't know the answer but it was the most committed ride of the night for me. The waterfall section was sickening to watch as I don't think anyone would have wanted a dab to the right from that position - Jim did well to catch the Mont though It was more or less over before the race with Fuji, very bad luck to have a footrest snap and not a lot he could do except bail off and try to save himself any injuries. All in all, I think that Doug rode his socks off early on - very impressive to see him dominate on the indoor sections against the spaniards and out psyche the likes of Raga & Co. In fact, have a look at the race between him and Raga, just as they are going up the second ramp, Doug's just in front, Raga ****s up and lands hard on the front wheel, his arms collapse and he nearly face plants the top yoke - Doug just sailed on by with his race face on, what pressure?
  13. I was talking to The Richmond Sheep Molester the other night and we were chatting about the price of fags/beer/cars/bikes/holidays/TMX etc. and the TC.com Site Supporters fees were mentioned. Now we all know that The Richmond Sheep Molester is a tight Yorkie but even he agreed that
  14. The practice area was a bit dark for a cheapo camcorder but you can still see the riders ok'ish. Good to see them showing off one after the other too...
