  1. I went to look at a montesa a few years back, it had Malcom Rathmell on the tank/seat He said he could sell it for a fortune as it had been signed, and it was a one off! He got very abusive when I told he they all had that
  2. Re: thespikeyone I think it’s a fair description, in fact some people make nicer bikes in the garden shed!
  3. Have a look on youtube, there should be a video, get the syringe off ebay 50ml or 100ml
  4. Try back bleeding it with a large syringe, they are tricky to remove all the air
  5. No, basically you want to use any old oil to save a few quid. Doesn’t sound good for a mechanic!
  6. Can’t see your point, why would you want to use anything other than the correct oil? If you had loads of filter oil would you use that for a car oil changes,, or do you use any old oil… As your a mechanic I would think the answer is quite obvious
  7. The seller he has made it clear that it’s a modified bike, so its up to the buyer to make there mind up? Somebody may buy it just for fun
  8. I’ve concreted a very large lifting eye in the floor (about 1” in thickness) I use a hardened chain plus a case-hardened chain (they are harder to break by freezing) And an alarm
  9. Got to be worth a try, the sellers feedback seems ok
  10. Can anyone tell me what the timing (fully advanced) should be on a BSA B25? I can’t remember what I used to set it too! I’ve set it to 33° but not starting very well (seems ok when running but backfires when I close the throttle) its always been a good starter
  11. Nice pics Some bikes seem to have a lot of suspension travel!
  12. I have a set of NJB shocks on my beamish, they are very good for the money
  13. Hi Sorry to here about the theft, must be heartbreaking Just for reference so we can try to make our bikes more secure, what security did they get past?
  14. Don’t think you can go wrong with a C15, and they sound sweet
  15. I must say in the kids defence, he was embarrassed by his fathers remarks Having started many years ago in schoolboy moto-x, sadly I
  16. Perhaps you could also supply some better trained observers? I helped out a trial recently and had to observe two sections at the same time due to riders not wanting to help! I also had a angry father demanding to know why I gave his son a five, and called me an idiot! (Oh and his son fell off, but according to his father he had a foot each side of the bike?)

  19. I didn’t purchase any, bit short on funds at the moment! But they were on the Villiers Services stand (not listed on the website but there contact details are) link They looked very well machined with steel liners Hope this helps
  20. Is it me or does it look like that front engine bolt has been cut with an hacksaw?
  21. Not a lot, all the used parts seemed quite over-priced, some nice new items for sale though There was some very nice new alloy hubs for £220 including the brake plate (looked like cub copy's)
