  1. another thought is are the rubber dampers fitted inbetween the cylinder and head fins as these stop a lot of noise
  2. the 200 cylinder is just steel no nicoseal (unsure on the 242 ) if it sounds like sand in the engine its more than likely the mains ,if its rattling could be cylinder wear, more of a knocking big end
  3. another later rev3 or evo would be good as some parts from your old bike would still fit ,scorpas very good ,stay away from sherco

    try inmotion
  5. try matching old ones with a bearing stockist
  6. air in the system will not cause slipping ,do you mean dragging? chances are there is still air in the system using an easy bleed kit will not necessarily remove all the air even if fluid coming out shows no air ,bleeding motorcycle brakes/clutch is very difficult for the inexperienced ,even for someone with experience it can take a couple of hours , i find if when pumping if there is air coming through the small hole just keep pumping ,and letting the lever flick out to shock it out ,but your probably best getting someone with experience to bleed it, if you have fluid loss then the seals could be worn if no sign of leak at master cylinder
  7. going back to what i had mentioned what is folks views on smoking in the queue which can also include children
  8. when you get to the queue you are usually at the back
  9. doesnt sound to fair ,but i will say if a rider is smoking a fag in front of me or has an overly smoking bike i will park myself in front of them to prevent the inhalation of fumes
  10. sounds like a zero with clutch prob lol
  11. piston slap more like tapping on over run or low revs goes when biulding revs up ,mains are growly as if sand in the engine is there all the time and louder with more revs
  12. best get someone with some idea to have a listen ,or remove clutch cover and have a look
  13. poss has to have surgery
  14. check flywheel weight first
  15. best off having an engineer look at it as you could make a mess of it especially if old steel coils need drilling out ,if its alloy just get a helicoil kit ,comes with drill tap and fitting tools
  16. iam sure the bike will be 6v it will have a power source from magneto but you poss will need a reulator or rectifier or both best check a manual for wiring diagram ,on the other hand theres some very powerfull rechargeable bicycle lights on the market (ebay) which probably will be brighter than 6v ones
  17. try inmotiontrials.com in uk they can supply the bronze bush and kickstart spring and possibly more ,most parts are same as cota200
  18. zerorev3rev4 replied to juzz80's topic in Sherco

  19. zerorev3rev4 replied to juzz80's topic in Sherco
what age is it ,sounds like lack of fuel on slow running side try adjusting mixture screw if no good clean carb out
  20. try physioroom.com for hinged braces ,if making an order be aware of differnt sizes ,,i split my cartillage and torn the ligament about 4 years ago i nearly had it operated on but never was prob back on a bike within 2 months but age could come into play here also,i had niggly problems for long enough like an electric shock whilst walking (this was bits getting lodged in the joint and been trapped) and had to remove any weight imediately also on the bike if you needed to go for a dab n it twisted it it was like it came out of joint painfull for a while but was able to carry on,now it doesnt seem too bad but it isnt 100% stable and probably never wil be its handy having a beta with left kick as its my right knee that got damaged
  21. sell it n buy a proper bike
  22. manual states sae 10w30 900cc, 30,5 usa fl.o.z, 31.5 gb fl.o.z
  23. they share the same oil so light gearoil should be fine or maybe atf unless someone knows differnt ,, put same amount back in ,ive not found another drain, try southwest montesa for manual
