  1. Why Worry ??? I just resigned my contract with my Fantic indefinitely , and it even gave me a pay cut !!!
  2. What Copey Said !!! Common sense isn't that common anymore !!!
  3. Just remember the trials riders creed ... Going Fast IS easy , Going slow with control is where it's at ! ... Hope fully will meet you this weekend . Glenn
  4. Just out of curiosity ... Does fuel flow appear correct ? dirty petcock etc. ???? Glenn
  5. I don't remember the model nomenclature , but I'm pretty sure montesa sold a larger tank version of the cota , just like bultaco with the Sherpa/Alpina bikes ... Forerunners of the long ride kit !!! Glenn
  6. !!! I say build a Big strip club on one side of the proposed mosque and a giant barbecue joint on the other side .... " ahh yes mohamed , that is kitty and pork you smell "
  7. Just a thought ... You may want to check out some bicycle shops , 'cause the old puller htr sent me to try on our Fantic 50 fits the cranks on my Fantic bicycle too ... Worth a shot ! Glenn
  8. I would just love to be able to buy a bike (NEW!!!) that was designed to be the ultimate no stop bike , kinda like the bikes I had when I first started riding trials in the early 70's . (no stop , no minders , you broke, you fixed it !) Tight technical sections etc. etc. etc. And a disc braked twinshock would be cool too ... Although in snow and ice they can be a disadvantage ! But I think a large bore 2t or a smaller 4t twinshocker would be a blast and they would sell as many as they could build , just 'cause the newbie's are afraid to commit to a late model trials bike , I think it would get more new people into trials and let them progress (fantic term!!) as far as they want ! Glenn
  9. If I remember the rumor from back when the 50cc prototype was released , I had read that the was a chance of suzuki suplying the motors for a fullsize Fantic ... But I would love to be able to buy a 2012 240 pro ... (mellow 300+cc and some modern touches ...) And the ability to buy NEW parts for the bike !!! Glenn , ( dreamin at lunchtime !)
  10. The factory just released some hype about their new big bore 2t Caballero's to be released soon , so maybe a big trialer too ... !

Just remove the Crotch Catcher/ Seat retainer stud/bolt , and that is a fine looking machine ! Glenn

A YZ front brake works quite well , (don't know about the spoke count vs. a fannie though...) and the xr100 front end that I grafted onto the ty80 will do stoppies without a problem ! (much to my 11 yr olds disbeleif !) But if you enlarge the axle shaft hole to about 16 mm , run good shoes and tighten the axle etc. with the front brake applied snuggly , the stock 240 will do stoppies too . And if it's still not enough for you get you shoes relined and arced as close as possable to the drum ... And Stefano ???? you making another batch of 240 silencers ??? let us know ! Cheers , back to work now ... Glenn
  13. And you can get aluminum tubes in either !!!
  14. TOO COOL !!!!!
  15. axulsuv replied to scoobie232's topic in Fantic
Thanks for the photos ... From them I can see where to put the nut-sert . (theaded rivet ) Glenn
  16. axulsuv replied to scoobie232's topic in Fantic
Looking good ! making the best twinshock better takes time ! If you did the chain tensioner mod , can you tell me how far forward from the axle slot I put my nut-sert for the mounting bolt ? I've got another swingarm with Chris's bushing/shaft kit ready to go on , and a beta tensioner just laying in wait ... And you'll love it when you take it out for a good romp ... It'll do alot more than you think it's capable of ! Glenn And I used a different Tank sticker on mine ! ( just to be different )
  17. Those must be the before photos ... He just forgot the afters !!!! Glenn
  18. Congrats to Cody ... Looks to me like the 2011 season will be a very competitive series of events . All of these young men are such phenomenal riders , it's great to have this many riders with the potential to win at the national level .... Now if we can get some TV time for the sport on a major network ... Glenn
  19. I got mine from www. classicbikedecals.co.uk It's a reprint of the original in a plastic binder , and as a true shop manual seems to be made of unobtainium , the exploded veiws are priceless ! Contact them , I've had nothing but a good experience with them , and they did make the effort to make it available . And my scanner isn't at this point in time ! Cheers, Glenn
  20. Brgs. on the outside , bushing on the inside . At least thats the way the parts manual shows them ... Glenn

Great ... now my 10 year old is having nightmares , I told him not to look over my shoulder when I'm on the computer !!!!
  22. axulsuv replied to no jive's topic in USA Trials
Great to see some recognition of trials anywhere ! !! Good luck @ Donner !
  23. Time flies when you have a Zero Gravity switch ! And Congrats from here too ! Glenn
  24. Just keep all receipts of the transaction so when the pump fails in the future you can prove it was their fault ! out of warrenty or not ! I've been looking at a sprinter too , And except for the fact that the US models are assembled in the next town over from me ,(and I know what the local work force is like ...) I think they are a all around good deal for the long haul ... and most hotrod techniques applied to diesels will improve the fuel economy and power , not detract from it . over here they are in a very mild state of tune ... Glenn , good luck with the new ride !
