Evo Factory Or Trs?
Have you ridden both? The Beta is the sensible choice,I feel the TRS is the better bike but it's too soon to be certain.

Back Tyre Coming Off The Rim
It's not a road bike, different makes of tyre front and back is fine.Youre not the first to report this problem,Michelin is the answer
-
Beta Evo 250
None to avoid, they have improved year on year, there's quite a difference between a2009 and a 2015'get the best you can find and afford

Sherco 290 Spinning Up On Steep Uphills
Enduro tyres grip far more than trials tyres do in mud,but your tyre has gone well past its best before date .Get a new Michelin,it'll be miles better.Once the square edge wears off the grip diminishes noticeably

2014 Factory Replica
It's a feature of the model and nothing to worry about. Its the fingers that operate the clutch rattling when there's no pressure on them until you pull the lever in,plenty of others have asked the same question. Its been there all the time, just that now you have a new(quiet)top end it's become more noticeable

Gas Gas Take Over (Multiple Topics Merged)
Wonder if the staff are only employed when there's bikes to build?Does Spain do zero hours contracts as we do?
-
Scorpa 300 Twenty Taming
slow action is a longer twist, calms things down a fair amount and is easy and cheap to do.Itll grip better with more damping and with the spring set so it sags to 1/3 of the travel with you standing on it .Probably the most powerful bike out there, you'll need good throttle control to benefit from its ability,be patient.

Exhaust Bung Issue?
I've left the bung in by mistake and started it up.Ran badly for a little while and fired the bung into the rose bushes.Scratched my hands retrieving it and learnt a lesson, more careful now

Would You Buy A Jota Gas
100/1oil mix may well give minimally better performance over 70/1,and that's probably the reason the factory states that ratio.I feel happier with a bit extra oil when I've got it on the stop in 3rd for several seconds burning up muddy hills we get round here.I don't think the gear oil lubricates the main bearings like the GasGas as the factory says gear oil changes every 100 hours which seems far too long to me.Comes out pretty black after 6 trials..I maybe over cautious buts it's my bike and my time and money that gets spent to fix it and oils cheap as opposed to engine rebuilds. Gone a bit off the original topic now but the only trouble I've had with mine wasn't lubrication related

Would You Buy A Jota Gas
I use GRO light gear oil,it gives a progressive bite point and minimal drag, and GRO 2t at 70/1.Expensive compared to some I know but you get what you pay for.I did try ATF in the gearbox and found the gear change less smooth and the clutch too sharp.Great bike aren't they

Trs Bike Unveiled
There's surely people that would be interested after a test day and firm delivery dates.Feel sorry for Steve Saunders,Jotagas didn't work out.he must be wanting bikes to sell,it's been a year since he had any.Wonder if Trs employ the same PR people asJotagas did or just don't care

Trs Bike Unveiled
Would have thought they should be concentrating on getting bikes out there to sell, they must have spent huge figures to get this far.Theyve already got one of the two who can win a world round, they don't need someone who I don't feel will make the top 5 as well.Be better if they were seen in other countries competing for national victories. The various importers must want bikes to sell

Yes Or No ?
ECU wouldn't accept not having info from the EFI if you fitted a carb, tho I reckon you could get one to fit.Probably possible to re write the ECU to accept it by someone who really knows what to do,but it wouldn't be cheap and you'd have to set it up on a rolling road

Gas Gas Gearbox Oil Gone Black After 10Mins?
I've flushed boxes with petrol too, surprising what comes out.Dont start it though
-
Beta Evo125 2010
Clutch fix well documented on the Beta forum, otherwise as above.Do remember it's 5 years old and it won't be like a 15 model but they are basically a good choice
-
Trs Bike Unveiled
If it's ready for factory riders, what's holding up production?Potential customers won't wait forever, they'll go elsewhere ,be good to have an official statement

Trs Bike Unveiled
I see Ross Danby is riding a GasGas in the Vic Britain.Dont know if this is a one off or not

Rev3 Running/idle Problem
Boiling the jets in water for a couple of minutes cleans them up like new.Zap em with wd40 when cold

Yes Or No ?
The only thing that would concern me is the EFI parts. Most consumables are used by other brands so no problem.I would want the leads and computer program so I could interrogate the ECU if anything went wrong but I'm not sure what's out there if you needed replacement bits .Too much of a gamble in my opinion.I know Mahle have taken over Kokusan but are they going to continue with the parts Ossa used?

Best Rear Tyre
I'd have IRC if I was confident it would stay on the rim,got a Goldentyre Gecko at the mo which is good in mud, sways a bit when dry

2015 Elka Shock Issue
Remove the spring from the shock then move the wheel up and down so you can see what's happening. It doesn't appear to be touching much, maybe 0.5mm off the linkage and a small chamfer on the shock would do it
-
Braktec Pad Retaining Clip!
Removed mine, rode today with no problem, will leave it off .Used to drag with it fitted, seems to pull the pads into constant contact, the wheel turns much freer without it

What Have Been The Biggest Changes In Bikes Over The Last 20 Years?!?
Illustrates also Finnys incredible ability, not many from that era could get near that. Its still more rider than bike

Would You Buy A Jota Gas
I have a 2014 250 and I don't want anything else. Its very light ,has the best forks out there,it grips well,is very torquey and revs very high if needed.Ive ground a bit off the lock stops,it now has sufficient lock for me.Routine maintenance is easy,it all fits back together without forcing things inline, seems made to a standard not down to a price. When brand new it felt very tight ,took more running in than others I've had, every bearing had been fully greased and every bolt loctited,I stripped it to check it and needn't have done.Only trouble I've had is the bearing on the clutch release failing, and the gear change shaft breaking, which has been modified on the later ones.Spares are cheap and available from Haven trials .Id have another one, mine still feels tight and new now .They were too dear when mine was new,but are more competitively priced now, very underrated bike, try one
