Nothing to do with the fuel injection, the motor has a cross hatch pattern on the bore which holds oil better.,Someone I know whose family business is go kart tuning has one and they stripped the top end off to check it over,it was fine.Gas gas pro main bearings are lubed by the gear oil too,but you wouldn't run one on 200/1
  2. It's maybe ok,but why risk it for the sake of £15

Brown oiled Hebo offer very good protection that doesn't disappear when wet.Mine took a bit more wearing in as they are very stiff when new, done about 60 trials in them, reckon they'll do another 60.Theyre a little heavier than Gaern or Alpinestar but I've never hurt my feet in them
  4. Majority of the people that have ridden mine rated it highly, but they seem reluctant to buy one. Most think they've gone bust, can't get spares, have gearbox problems and anything else the rumour mill can dream up.Difficult to change people's perception without some supported good riders on them which would need to come from the factory pockets, not just the importer
  5. You have to remove some of the linkage to access the shock bolt.I wouldn't expect the shock to be comparable with your friends 2015 ,they weren't brilliant when new..I had a go on one back then that had an Ohlins fitted ,it was so much better than my standard one.
  6. I've found Vince very helpful and knowledgeable.Advice has been good, anything I've ordered has arrived the next day,not that I've needed much
  7. I don't like the red on the rims or the headstock,I feel the 2014 looked the best. The colour scheme wouldn't stop me buying it if I liked the way it rode though
  8. New piston in a worn bore isn't the answer.Either clean up what you've got and tolerate the rattle,or do it properly and spend the money on replating the cylinder and a new piston and small end
  9. Will anybody else ever reach this level?
  10. Battery life is not yet long enough for most trials, whether it ever will be without too great a weight penalty remains to be seen.Bikes have been developed to a point where marks lost at most events are purely the riders fault.I can't see the need or the possibility of developing them significantly further id like to see grease nipples on chassis and linkage bearings, stator casings that are waterproof, top quality bearings and seals from new, mudguards that bend rather than break, brake and gear controls likewise .2t engines to be developed to burn less oil and so cleaner Id like them to be cheaper, but I don't think it's possible, less or no vat would help but I think I'm dreaming on that one.
  11. They're all good, are you buying new or used? The only way to know is riding them on the rough, not just round a dealers car park. What anybody likes best is irrelevant,Beta owners will recommend Beta,Sherco owners will recommend Sherco for example,it's what you prefer that's important
  12. Local guy has one and loves it,as does everyone who's had a go on it. If you're a centre champion ship expert the 280 or 300 is better, anything less the 250 is fine, bit cheaper too
  13. There was a thread about this some time ago..Opinion was it's not needed.I took mine off because it made the brake drag slightly, now its fine,no downside to not having it
  14. Something wrong with it if you think it's not powerful enough
  15. Mucoff mtb cleaner works, but not to good as new.
  16. Plenty of water and food, riding gear that'll keep the weather out, spare gloves, complete change of clothing to travel home in,Make sure bike is prepared properly and reliable, tools to allow simple repairs to be carried out.Dont expect too much of yourself, its harder and more physically demanding than it appears and brilliant fun .Stay with it
  17. 09 steered better than previously, only small improvements since, damn good bike
  18. Either the injector is stuck open or the ECU is opening the injector more than it should.Wonder if theTPS is faulty and informing the ECU that the throttle is wide open when it's not and over fuelling it.Often these sort of problems are caused by poor connections in the plug together connectors.Id part them all and zap them with contact cleaner.Good luck
  19. Linkage or swing arm bearings need greasing perhaps
  20. Capacitor should have its value on it .Once you know that a google search should come up with something cheaper

Reckon Dibs can still win BTC next year, after that top 3.He could have a good future in enduro if he wanted to
  22. It's running too rich going by the colour of the plug and the other symptoms.Take it to someone who knows how to sort the carb out
  23. Why do you hold it flat out straight after starting it anyway
  24. huski replied to dmc2028372's topic in TRS
You'll have to ride them both to know which is right for you,can you get to the Bvm test day next week to try them?
  25. New plates I would expect to be slightly thicker,so would put more pressure on the springs and in theory should slip less.Id take it apart and check I hadn't done something wrong and go from there.Id ensure that the master cylinder piston was returning fully and that there's free play between the clutch lever and master cylinder
