    Oops!

This wouldn't be the same Honda that tried to do away with 2 strokes and hasten the demise of the European factories?
  2. Should work as soon as the clutch plates free off. Stick it in 4th and rock it back and forward with the cluch in before you start it, normally works.
  3. Aye right enough, but take the lever off and make sure the piston in the master cyl is getting right back it's crucial.
  4. If I mind right the fluid should just run down from the master cyl out the bleed nipple on the slave cyl. Take the cluch lever off to let the piston in the master cyl right back and use an allen key or similar to push the piston. Not meaning to be cheeky but you're not trying to bleed it by pumping the slave cyl? Cheers.
  5. Assume you're wearing a really light helmet?
  6. Getting way off target now and I have to admit (Even though I'm over 50) old bikes are not my thing. My point is though with that many age/machine/ability related classes throughout the trials scene it's just a nonsense. Personally all trials should be grouped soley by ability lets call it a,b,c,d ride what route you like with whatever bike you like. I know you would get folk riding groups that are too easy for them, but if they're happy for a 8 year old on a Beta 80 or a 70 year old on an Ariel to be riding a harder group than them who am I to judge.
  7. I think the real problem is money! Up here the sport is administered by a group of well meaning unpaid volunteers and all the clubs likewise. If they had decent funds someone could be paid to promote the sport in a professional manner. There's no shortage of things you can do if you have ths cash. Advertising material, promotional dvd's demo bikes, test day's free trials for newstarts stands at shows, free training sponsorship, extra beginners trials etc Make cheques payable to the "East Neuk Wobblers" please. .
  8. This could be complete nonsense. I was told Vertigo are using the same Fi system and transmission as the Ossa? Anyone else heard this?
  9. Couldn't agree more, just wish everyone could see that this is the case.
  10. Can't say I've had much bother with brakes and I ride a lot. Always blow any muck out the calipers with an airline after washing would be my tip. Also change the pads before you start using the brake pistons for friction material helps.
  11. Vast between the old Dunlops and IMO the new Dunlops still don't hit the spot. If there old change them anyway .However if you're just playing or riding easish stuff I wouldn'.t rush.
  12. Tickling! that takes me back. I remember you really had to flood some of the old bikes (Bultaco specially) to get them to fire. Just a guess, tip the bike over until you see the fuel run out the carb and see if that works.
  13. Probably ride about 50 club trials year and about 20 plays plus I run about 20 trials so no bad going for a 52 year old. Always have a 15 min play in the cul de sac if I service/wash the bike this will continue until I fall off in front of my neighbours. Sadly I,m slowly getting worse so all this playing is in vain. However I did finish the Scottish having only ridden club trials for the last 7 years.
  14. Just a wee plug as details are already on TC. Great weekend for the casual rider,FREE camping (Toilets too) Live band in the clubs makeshift clubhouse. Barbecue.Campfire and great banter from folk who dont just talk about bikes all night. Even women have been known to enjoy this trial. No dear too and you can just turn up and ride.no pre enter nonsense. Don.t worry if you can,t even ride a bike, nobody bothers. See you there.
  15. Aye just watched him wheelieing? round the sofa. Wish we had another 10 like him. Maybe not trials, but a trials bike on prime time TV. Made my day.
  16. I've a 14 Ossa, similar situation to Gas Gas.,won't be selling it or taking it to any breakers. I don't worry about parts or things going wrong with it ,don't think most riders really bother either because to be a trials rider you have to be quite an independent individual. If you worried about stuff like that probably shouldn't be riding in the first place.
  17. Pleased to see BB 3rd on the much maligned Ossa, heard a rumour he was going to be on the Scorpa? Say what you like an Ossa is just a high tech Vertigo!
  18. I take it you mean ban Eddie? I suggest they should have there own section(pardon the pun) This would keep things on topic. Popular too I would wager. Call it something like why my Rudge is better than a Vertigo.
  19. We're all a lot older here in Europe, don't think you can compare our densely populated isle with Down under Mr Lucas. We've no ground and bad weather not a good recipe for off road Motorcycling. Anyone who's been around a bit will tell you there's more to trial than a few decent sections. As for the WTC,most members wouldn't know Toni Bou (No disrepect the greatest) if he ran them down on his 4rt singing the Spanish national anthem.
  20. Odd don't you think, looking at the BTC results there's only one bike out of the top six you can go out and buy at the moment.
  21. Didn't see many UK built bikes at this years SSDT! In fact there was a grand total of Zero. Glass houses and all that.
  22. The bikes may be a minor issue but lack of promotion of Trials is what's the matter. SSDT, going 100 years the public hasn't a clue about it. Plenty bikes in Fife these day's with good clubs with dealer back up and and there's other hotspots around the UK too. Said it before, lots of people want to ride trials they just don't know about it yet.. Managed to get my tissue paper Ossa round the SSDT on one set of rear pads. Pity I fried it on Tuesdays race and it knocked all the rest of the trial. Can't blame the bike though
