  1. Second guess Woodruff key?
  2. Blind guess have you checked the coolant? They don't like to run hot.
  3. Hello, no doubt Birkett Motorsport will have one. Remember they're a pain to bleed so if you've fitted the new seals it takes a bit of black magic to get them working right. Check back the forum for advice on this also the hose to the reserviour can leak. Cheers.
  4. I must admit I know little about the Pre 65 Scene however T/S does interest me. Surely allowing any modifications apart from what is considered "reasonably practical" is making a stick for your own back? As for "new " T/S I think this is great, but they should be in with the modern stuff can't see them being a disadvantage on your average modern clubman route.
  5. If this had been a World round I think we would be celebrating a large number of uk point scorers.
  6. Be nice to see some footage, can't really picture how hard this was?
  7. At this level the slightest difference in skills are amplified, this would be harder than some WTC rounds. Don't think too many from your side of the pond (Pop 300 Million) would break a ton (hundred). We've 6 million made up largely of 3 million pensioners and alcoholics.
  8. Result says it all, surely good news for UK trials with DLs connections. Only one 5 in a very stiff trial and the bike still under development? A new benchmark!
  9. Hello there ,pretty certain they're not out yet as they go on the TC site. Sec's name is Ian Middleton a true gent and the number I have is 07890451144. Not sure how currant it is as I know he moved? Fantastic trial with no kid on routes. Cheers.
  10. Easy to blame the FIM,has there ever been much off a effort to promote trials at any level over the years? Great day's indeed but the worlds moved on,your average rider now is a 40 something on a modern bike riding low scoring trials. I suggest getting new riders is more of a priority than any changes at the top. Enjoyed the video.
  11. Luxembourg?probably only got about 10 trials riders the same number of rocks as Belgium.
  12. Pardon my ignorance what's a TPS setting and how does idle speed affect the mixture?

    Gas Gas Future?

Drifting off,you have to create a market for Trials bikes if not it wont matter if they're 50 or 100kg. Up here running loads of beginner trials/practice/days/training has worked up to a point. New dealers have emerged and we do get new members nearly every trial. Five out of the top seven bikes on Sunday were new Scorpas. It's just getting the word out which isn't easy but there people out there that want to ride. It's not uncommon for new riders to say to me I would have done trials 20/30 years ago if I had known about it. Damning really,we've totally failed.

    Gas Gas Future?

A quick one as I'm off to run a trial the problem is no one knows about trials. Secret sport and non existent promotion unless that can be addressed things wont progress!
  15. Reet sweet, you know a couple of years ago I stuck mine on the wee forum I run at £600 and didn't get a sniff, though someone did fancy the wheels which had new rims and the hubs re lined. How times change.
  16. I ended up with one of these, cost me peanuts at the time. Already standing me a couple of grand and it's in a million bits. Probably cost the same again to make it nice. Miles better condition than the one in the picture too and my wheels were as good as new, slab tank too. A lesson learned, never again, life's too short.
  17. Aye Ryan if you've no been to a Lothian Trial you've never lived. Take it you're not from up here but they sometimes let English riders in if numbers are low (Not often) Real laid back,if you want a fun day on the bike that's what you'll get. Just turn up and ride. Maybe see you the morn (That means tomorrow)
  18. Poor Dougie, even he couldn't make that course work on a Trials bike. Snow sports enthusiasts have it tough, bad enough they can only really go downhill.
  19. Can't Jordi wear a hat? And these glasses,he looks like my father in law and I'm 52 .though I would be willing to trade some hair for some of his talent! Nice finished frame unlike a few other makes, that are welded together by a hung over apprentice with one hand.
  20. Good few Ossas about here including 250s. Has wee plays on them but prefer my 300 which is unusual for me because I'm not keen on big motors. The 300 feels more like a small motor in the tight stuff and you only know it's a big one when you start to wind it on. There's no hit,it just pulls smoothly all the way revving like a 125. Really can't fault it.

    Acu Fees

Speaking to all organisers out there. Isn't it great to go to another clubs trial and pay your entry and ride round? Care not a jot about flags observing, entrys.results ,just ride and go home.
